    I don't recall, but I think they were 6000.

Currently on Hawk LTS pads that look brand new after about 25k miles. Only complaint is they get pretty noisy when they get dusty.

I ran hawk lts on the 2nd gen I had. First set lasted 60k miles. When the Sequoia needs new pads I will probably go with the LTS. Hauling the camper is eating up the OEM pads.

For all this brake pad life talk - Just remember if you are running a slotted or cross-drilled (or both) rotor expect the pads to wear out quicker. All of those slots and drill edges are chunking away at that pad more then the solid surface of a regular rotor. You will never see long life on pads.

What I have never understood is why are you peeps running drilled and slotted rotors on a truck? I know race cars use them to disapait the heat. Are you peeps a bunch of race car drivers?

When it gets closer if you're interested, I wouldn't mind meeting up with some fellow TW members to check out some views and scenic roads with.

Slotted rotors have great applications to our trucks to help dissipate heat and reduce brake fade when pulling trailers or loaded down beds full of #EAF shit. :D

Cross-drilled rotors were originally for weight reduction purposes on race cars and teams calcuated how much rotor surface was needed to complete a race knowing the car would get new rotors and pads for the next race. I won't reccomend cross-drilled rotors for off roading for 2 reasons - 1 the holes fill with debris and mudd becoming counterproductive to their purpose, and 2 reduces the contact surface even more which typically results in brake performance being reduced and stop times longer when they are hot.

Thats just my 2 cents and opinion.

    good to know

I got slotted and Dimpled. I remember I read some where when I ordered these back in Dec :anonymous: not to get the cross drilled ones at the time. Figure I'll run them see how they do with me and go from there.

Yes, but not really. Ridiculous that it cost that much, but I'm guessing it's either a new color matched bumper or them taking the existing one, completely stripping it down, and repainting it. As Naz said, I'd go aftermarket before I'd dump that into fixing stock. But then, I've wanted aftermarket from the start. You could always look for a stock takeoff on CL or something from someone who did go aftermarket and wants to dump their new one instead of hanging on to it. I did that when I bent the shit out of my exhaust/muffler (on a [being] graded county road no less).

Just fwiw this was disproven and it's actually more like 1lb rotating = 3 lb static.

This sounds more accurate since you are talking about brakes. My understanding has always been the multiplier is dependent on how far from the center of rotation the mass is and the multiplier increases the further out you go.
