My wife was out of town this weekend.

Took her 2018 Pro in for it's 5K *ahem* service on Saturday. Asked for the flash. Did not tell her I took the truck in.

She came back last night. 45 min ago I got a text from her asking if I did something to her truck.

When I asked why, she said "it feels different - like faster".

can't wait for my 15k service... need the sluggish gone !

Just recently considered spending unnecessary cash on cold air intake & exhaust to improve throttle response. That money will be spent in better mods now.

I just called my dealer about sluggish performance and asked for updated software and she said I wasn’t due for a recall or issue. I said my transmission is sluggish and poor shifting on highway and specifically asked for the update, and she said they would look at it. Hopefully, I get it.

Question- is the 25k service billable or covered under warranty? I’m at 21k right now.

Brought my truck in to a dealer in NH today.
I described the symptoms I am experiencing and asked to see if there was a TSB 0058 that might correct the problem.

He quickly verified the TSB and described what it was suppose to fix but cautioned me that "if the tech can't replicate the problem he can't justify the work to be done. We'd love to do the work as we get paid by Toyota but if there is no problem we can identify, there is nothing more that we can do."

He did shoot me a jab as I was leaving saying "Where did you read this, on the web ?
I lied and told him a buddy of mine had it done....
So Thanks to all you "Buddies" I have an appointment next week to see what's what. To be continued.....

I was told EG 1810 is not the TSB number, but rather the number the service guys have to plug in to authorize the work.

i just went in for my 15K service and asked them to update the TSB... is there anyway to check if they did? I feel like mine always just tells me everything is up to date.

Well crap! I was all set to buy a manual based on the unfavorable reviews of the A/T, but this could be a game changer, especially since my girlfriend wasn't keen on the manual.

That’s what they told me over the phone. Rear diff check but nothing about transmission. I am scheduled for Wednesday and will push for the update. Will let everyone know what happens.

That’s where I plan on going. But I’m at 6,000 miles, so if they want to replace my differential it will be on their dime.

Just picked up after having this done. I pretty much just said I had an issue with “surging between 40 and 50 mph” and “heard there was a TSB that recommended an ECM update.”

They said they ran an update but I didn’t get a printout to verify it was the 8966304B0400 calibration.

I only had a chance to drive about 4 miles home, but I definitely noticed an improvement in the shift points.

Are people getting multiple TSBs done? The 62-18 and 58-18?
