Reverse the vacuum to blow the filtered bits back out into the oil pan, then vacuum them up.

I've done 6 oil changes on my Taco (every 5k). It's four bolts. Maybe 2 minutes to take them and the skid off. I just don't see the need to try and simplify this. :notsure:

just did mine yesterday, 4 bolts with a 12mm socket took less than 3 minutes to remove gives me plenty of access to the bottom area of the engine to do any work needed, at the same time I oiled anti seized the 4 bolts so in the future they wont rust and seize=win-win. I don't know why its a big deal to remove the pan since the new Toyota OCI is 10k miles now.

I removed the factory skid plate from my TRD Sport today and cut a 5" square hole in it to get to the oil filter for future changes. Sanded down all the edges and primed and painted . Now I don't have to remove it again for oil filter changes. Now just wondering if I should cover the hole or leave it exposed. The skid plate already had 2 square holes in it but they are much smaller. I thought about just leaving it off but decided that it still provided quite a bit of protection.
