All fun and games until you catch the rear bumper on a sand dune. Right @DMCtacoma ?

I'd keep the Pelfrey Bumper for sure.

Yeah if you look closely you can see the bumper is tweaked. The sides were folded straight down and a pismo trip. I like to drive on the dunes like I'm in a side by side. I love dropping into bowls side ways

Quick question for you guys. What’s the best option for shocks to go with the TC LT 3.5 series?

The popular route that many go are with kings or fox. The shocks are specifically designed for that kit so its pretty straight forward. I know some roll with icons for their LT although that is a small minority.

So what’s the different between the extended and bypass or even the 3.0 stage 3 coilovers?

Are you referencing the extended and standard length coilovers that the midtravel guys run? I know Icon makes a stage 3 suspension kit for the stock applications, but Im not familiar with any stage 3 kits for LT although they might exist.

Almost everyone runs a 2.5" diameter 8" fox or king coilover spec'd for the TC kit with a secondary bypass shock if you want to be able to tune your front better. Not too many other options and of those there aren't necessarily a lot of performance gains to be had. Icon and sway away make shocks and coilovers to fit your application as well afaik.

I don't think Icon lists their LT kits on their website. You will likely have to call/special order them.

Easiest thing to do is give Micah a call at Down South Motorsports and order King or Fox and be done with it. No headache, no hassle, good results, good customer service and parts are readily available.

I ask because I seen a king shock for 2800 then there’s another for 1500-1800 bucks on down south motorsports. Which is why I’m asking what’s the difference?

Just order from DSM and ask for the TW discount - should be pretty cheap - I think I got quoted $950 at one point for 8" Kings for first gens

Link the ones you're talking about - maybe they're something different than what would fit your truck.

Don’t know what you are talking about, but 2.5x8” king shocks aren’t 2800

Anyone running one of these thinking about getting one for the truck. Would be running it with the stock transmission if i did.
