Show me the best looking rims 1st gens!!

That red is sexy. Makes me hate my crummy tan a little bit... Ignoring the fact that mine has a million and one dents.

 

Haha. Thanks. Black would’ve been my first choice, but it’s grown on me.

 

I’m not a huge fan of red myself, but that is nice a dark and glossy. Looks fresh. Was it recently painted?

 

Not to my knowledge. It shows well, especially for a truck that lived in the southwest. It does actually have a few spots where the clearcoat is failing, plenty of rock chips too, but you have to look close.

 

These pictures are when the wheels were new and virgin. One trip to Rower/Drinkwater fixed that with some nice rock gouges in the rim locks.

Five Star FN Wheel combo w/ Cooper STT Pro's

 

I’m running TRD’s I think they look pretty sweet. But they are 17’s not 16’s

 

What size tire do you have on them?

 

I know everyone has methods but, I went with them anyway. Here’s how they look.

 

17x9 procomp 45 series 35-12.5 general x3s

 

Currently running 265/70 A/T’s

 

If only those guys would come out with a 16x8 with a center/hub cover.

 

FN wheels do offer the Five Star's in 16x8 and have a center cap. It's the SCS F5's that don't.

I've still got the stock steelies on my 2004 4X4. I've thought that if I wanted lighter wheels to make up for heavier tires some day the Konigs would be what I'd buy. Mines a DD but a lighter wheel assembly can never hurt. I have to wonder how the Konigs, or any nice aluminum wheel would hold up to winter with salt and sand.
