I'm sure it would look better color matched, but it does look pretty good as-is. I'd wait and color match someday when you dont have anything better to do. May sell it to a MGM guy for $$$

If I paint it, I'll be doing it either in the garage or in the driveway....so....humidity and bugs if I do it now. So best to wait if at all.

I'll just keep looking for a SilverStreak topper at a cheap price. Already have a lead on one...

I like it but I dont want dark colors. Shows dirt. It's an "I'm an old, tired compulsive clean freak that's trying to make life easier" kinda guy

We don't exactly live in an area that's prime for rattle can jobs, year round. I know the struggle.

Best time of the year to spray outdoors is a warm fall day after a killing frost/freeze. You get about 1 day year...

I could cover it with decals....lol.

Actually.....considering wrapping it. I want to learn how myself. Something as (relatively) small and simple as a topper might be a good place to start.

Late summer is good too. If it hasn't rained for a few days prior.

But bugs......why I like post freeze. Big flat shiny surfaces attract bugs on wet paint

I've not had that problem. Helps with texture too!

Also, not painted anything as large and desirable like a cap. I do still need to paint my bumper corner so I can sell the stocker

I used to paint antique tractors for people restoring them. They wanted show car quality paint on hoods and fenders. Had many ruined when moths would land on wet paint.

Yesterday was too busy. Today will be worse. Work from 6am to 9pm..

MAYBE tomorrow I can wire up 3rd brake light and interior lights for the topper. + reduce contents of tool box. I probably dont need 4 pairs of boots in the truck at all times

    Ok. One of THOSE days.

Drive 25 miles to work. Monsoon rain. Overhead lighting out on interstate. Pitch dark. But I made it. Custom me and wifey have....we text when at work safe. At that point I realize I forgot my phone. Fuck. Must have for work.

Drive HOME in suck conditions. Still dark. Daylight in 35 minutes, so I'll wait. By then traffic will increase.

First day for many schools in area. Bus traffic out by daylight. Fuck.

Suck it up and start driving in the dark Nancy....
