has anyone gone to/is a member of the Nashville Gun Club? It's like a skeet/clay/trap shooting complex. Not a far drive for those of us that live here. Thinking about getting a membership... but not sure.

Been to the one off of briely its nice. Haven't been in a while. It's a first come first serve type of place and is open to the public.

That's the one. I was under the impression that you had to be a member. How much is it if you are just doing a day trip? Can I get away with using an 18.5" barrel?

Yes, 18.5 is allowed. Clays are 25c a piece when shot add up on a card and automatically pays once your session is completed. Only 2 slugs or shells in the gun at all times. 1 loaded and 1 in secondary.

Is there an entry fee? Or do you just pay for clays and that's it?

You just pay for the clays, no entry fee or anything like that. The membership gets you discounted clays (maybe 10c v. 25c?) not really sure. To me, there isn't much a reason to be a member, unless you plan on going a few times a month; so I'm just a commoner when I go. In addition to the "2 shells in the gun" rule, I think the only other main one is shot size of 7 - 8. You may have some difficulty with an 18.5" barrel, but they'll let you shoot.

Not sure exactly what you are looking to do, but I can't recommend Sporting Clays enough. A friend described it to me as "Golf with a Shotgun", it's way more fun than regular Skeet.

Well I'm finally in Nashville! We got moved in to our place on Broadway and are now shopping for furniture!

Going out tonight for a few drinks to explore the nightlife around here. If any of y'all are planning on going out, let me know and I'll buy you a beer.

Welcome to the circus! you have several good spots in Midtown including Broadway Brewhouse and Red Door which are Nashville staples! Patterson House is a neat speakeasy with expensive but delicious cocktails (seems to be awesome for a nightcap and the fancy donuts are superb)

Also suggest hitting up Martin's BBQ off 4th south of Broadway. incredible BBQ with multiple bars, atriums and extensive beer list

once you get settled in, you cannot call yourself a true Nashvillian until you dodge bullets and get high on nail salon fumes while waiting for some delicious Prince's hot chicken.

This. the hot chicken may sound like a gimmick. it's not. and you will have a "food hangover" if you do it right. start low on the heat and work your way up. Prince's is better than Hattie B's but with Hattie Bs close to you it's not a bad alternative

So far my favorites as far as "hurts so good" chicken are Prince's and Bolton's.

Agree. I just have to make sure I don't have a lot to do after eating it. :)

Also great for colon health! ha

Broadway brewhouse is right down the street from our place. Probably one of the closest bars to us haha. I'll definitely check it out!

I think that place has a smoking section? The girlfriend really won't like that, but I'd probably love it. We went out for drinks to South Side Cafe the other night and I went outside for a smoke and the waiter told me I can vape inside, or there's a full smoking section upstairs. That's unheard of in Boston!

That's high on the list of places to get to! I've had hot chicken from a few places now and I love it every time.

So I'm a fiend for heat. I make my own hot sauce and like to cook real spicy for myself. I'm excited to further singe my colon at Prince's!
