Any issues or surprises removing the driver seat? I assume you need to remove it to get to said grommet with ease.

Not sure the difference between third gen and second gen, but all i did was remove the 4 bolts that hold the seat rail down, and just leaned the seat back rather than take it completely out. ...but i have a second gen.

Didn't touch mine at all. Just shoved my hand in there and yanked out what I needed.
Routed into the rocker cover panels, then out the driver kick/fuse door, under the floor mat and over to the radio.

My radio is in my center console, so leaning the seat back made running the coax cable from the grommet, under the carpet, then up to the bottom of the console/radio.

The actual plug underneath the third gen is behind the seat, so you don't need to fiddle with it at all. It pops out just behind the rails, and then you can run the cable up to your console or wherever you want it.

There's at least 3" under the back side. And the grommet favored the outside edge of the seat.

Either way, @nismoz33 I'd be happy to show you in person at the meat.

Or you could read the part where the plug isn't under the seat on 3rd gens...

    We’ll sea.

Unfortunately that’s the first weekend after the semester starts. I’m not doing a lesbian dance theory degree either so things are pretty gnarly. If not I’ll be there.

I planned the dates just for this reason. Well, more for folks that have k-12 kids.

Yeah if it was a week before I’d say for sure. We’ll see. Honestly I’m mostly not committed bc I may have to buy a new computer. Apparently Mac computers aren’t used in science lmao.

I have an MRI board the next week following so I had to opt out myself to cram what info I can in that weekend. That and I have 2 weeks after that to get ready for a 4K miles, 2.5 week trip.

Been thinking I might roll down Saturday night for camping only if I can sneak away. No promises, would have Trip most likely.
