Hey guys, if anyone knows where there are trucks that are being parted out I am in need of a front bumper and associated parts for a 1st Gen Tacoma 1998 through 2000.

Also in a couple of weeks I may host a mod meet, I have a lot of maintenance work to do to this Tacoma while my daughter is out of town.

 

I'm going saturday morning but coming from surry area so up 95north to chippenham I guess.

 

I have a co-worker whos truck has LED/Halogen headlamps (purchased as is from dealer, Priority) is now being rejected for state inspection for nor being DOT approved (from the same dealer that sold the truck). He's looking into the wiring since the new bulbs are directly wired from a ballast and making the repairs/change himself. Can anyone point me to some resources on the forum, local shops that might be able to assist or be of assistance yourself? Thanks in advance.

 

Is this the third time folks have been getting rejected down there? Just to make sure I got the picture...he has the stock headlight housing with the halogen assemblies, but has the LED's in place of the halogen bulbs right? My assumption is that would be way too bright to use in a halogen application over having a projector in there. That said though, I know a guy in your area failed his inspection strictly due to having projectors in his stock housing rendering him "not stock" as well.

He has a 2015, so it's not the new projector type.

 

Right, I was meaning for the guy on here who has a second gen like me where he had retro headlights professionally done to his stock headlamps that were projectors. Two places failed him because although they were done right, but obviously wouldn't have an OEM inspection passed sticker on it.
