    Hello forum regulars,

The lease on my car is up in 90 days and I'm interested in the Tacoma. My budget is about 20K. The 4WD is a must, no need for double cab....that's why I passed on a Honda (no offense-nice motorcycles by the honda folks).

    So my questions are:

1)Is there a recommended site to search for modded out Tacoma's for sale?
    -big wheels
    -sport exhaust
    -lift kits
    -cool stuff

2)Which model has the best seats? Is there and easy seat upgrade? We have an 08 4-Runner and the seats are not that comfortable...IMO

3)The TRD off road stuff looks good with the locker diff. Is this model taller than the sport? Are the seats better in the off road or the sport pkg?

    Thanks Guys

    PS leaning towards a used 2007-9 4WD-access cab/TRD-off road

Is the off road package for 4WD only? I saw an ad for a 2WD with off road pkg? It seems odd to offer it in 2WD.

    Thanks

Guys I'm out looking at trucks and will update when the field has been narrowed down a bit. Are there any recommendations when checking out a 2007-2009 used taco. Should mileage be a factor? I'm generally putting condition first.

    Thanks

We were taking the wifes 4runner in for service today and looking at the various configurations access vs double cab. There were no new examples in 4WD but the sales guy did mention a recent trade in 4WD showed up yesterday. It was a 4000 mile 2010 SR5 w/sports pkg-double cab. There was a lift kit, big tires and chrome step bars. Is $28,600 reasonable with TTT, it is $30,000 out the door? Some wear was evident but hopefully it will clean up. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Well the deal went through on the 2010 with 4K miles. The lift is just the "toytech" 3 inch pro basic kit with 285/70-17R tires.

Any suggestions for a matching diameter spare?

Slight rub on full lock...... may be eliminated with 1.25 hub centric spacers up front.

The ride is pretty nice but slight pulse in the wheel at 55-60 mph gone at 70-80 mph cruise. Stay tuned for the results of a "super balance" which balances the wheels to hundreths of an once patented by a friend here in NC.

The dogs seem to find the bed of the truck accommodating: 6 paws up!

sick truck! vibrations are pretty normal with a 3" lift. you can try a few things to get rid of it, like a front diff drop, carrier barring drop, or new upper control arms if it doesn't already have them
