Quick update for you guys on the diff bushings...

Banging these babies out now all my tooling is complete. The damn upper insulator washers are a real pain in the rear to make so this is the last batch that I'll be including them.

For everyone that has already made a purchase you will be still receiving the upper insulator washers. They are badass, just a huge pain to get them made up.

Shipping out orders this coming week!

Will there be instructions for the diff bushings? For taking those arms off? Do they hold the diff up in place? Do the old bushings need to be drilled out? New ones will fit easily in without the worry of cracking the bushing support when pressed in, ? Should bushings be greased for installing?
Apparently the bushing walls on these bracket supports are kind of thin and can crack,

Yes there will be instructions, It is a pretty simple project. Diff stays in place, bushings get torched or burned out, new ones fit snugly but will not require a press, If you crack the bracket, your a strong dude. No grease needed.

1.Remove any skid plates needed to access the two mounting brackets on the front of the diff diff (3 - 19mm bolts). Diff stays in place, no need to pull it out. It does not fall out or anything, just slightly sags.

    2. heat the metal around the bushing with a torch until it starts to snap, crackle, pop. This sound is the indicator that the rubber has separated from the metal sleeve. Continue to heat the metal around the bushing until the bushing can be literally pushed out with a screw driver. I have had several bushing actually pop out on there own once hot enough.

    3. Once old bushing is removed torch any remaining rubber left over on the bracket and scrap off any debris. It literally wipes out after being torched.

    4. Now its time to press your new bushing into your clean diff mount brackets. The new bushings are slightly larger in diameter than the diff bracket hole. With a pair of Channel locks the bushing can be squeezed into place. hair spray (like Aquanet) can be used to lubricate the new bushing to help aid in easy installation. Reassemble brackets to the diff and your done.

The first time took me just under an hour, but now i'm knocking them out in 20 minutes.

Nice write up! I guess if you froze the bushings first they would shrink and fit nice and snug too in the bracket if the channel locks and lube were an issue,?

The rubber I use doesn't seem to shrink much, if at all. I have a full size industrial freezer and after 2 days the bushing didn't shrink. The hairspray trick is an old BMX trick to install new handle bar grips. It works very well to help reduce the tension when pressing the bushings in. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy the job goes.

This is nothing like swapping out LCA bushings...

YES!!!! That is what I remember of the stuff too!!! Using the Aquanet for the first time after all these years brought me back to Jr. High days. Stuff works for hair in Gail force winds, installing BMX grips and now installing Toyota bushings... Who'd a figured!

I'm going to use these pic in my install instructions.

    One last question,
this part is for the upper section (top) of the bracket only?, what about the lower section?

There is only one bushing per diff mount bracket.
