annoying churping squeak

So after I brought my truck to the dealer for a failed attempt at balancing my tires, I now have this annoying little churping squeak. Very annoying. I know this is a shot in the dark but anyone have any ideas? I though it was the tailgate. not. I thought it was the spare tire. not. I looked around underneath but it could be a thousand things. Seems like it is coming from underneath in the front and definitely sounds like chassis related. Doesn't help that I notice EVERYTHING either. My wife says I'm nuts

 

Subscribed...have the same thing (have had it for about a year now). Gave up looking for a solution.

What pisses me off is I had the truck for 6 years and the one time it goes to the dealer it now has a squeak

 

i have a similar chirping and i have spent every weekend for the past month crawling underneath and spraying silicon lubricant on various bushings to isolate the noise...

so far, no luck finding it in the suspension and im wondering if it may be in the floating tranny mounts...

the sound reminds me of when dirt gets in the leaf spring bushings but as often as i offroad, its hard to isolate this chirping squeek...

if i find out, i will post up...

 

I may know what it is.
I noticed that when they last balanced my tires, they didn't put the spare tire up all the way. So it was hanging down slightly and wasn't snug up against the truck, it wasn't a lot but enough.
So that could be it, It also rubbed off some of the outside of the tire.

So it wouldn't hurt to check that out, and make sure the cable is up all the way.

 

I tried that and it was tight but good idea. I'll check the tranny mounts. Funny, it seems like when I go over bumps that want to "twist" the truck from the side (Hard to explain) not straight, head on bumps, it does it

 

Have you checked the bolts that connect your trucks body to the frame? Should be 4 of them, they have rubber grommets on the bolts that attach to a washer and nut.

 

I'll check those. Good tip.

 

Might be worth a shot to check your U Joints also.
