Volunteer job? Holy shit. You guys at least get a weekend a year with hookers and coke on a party boat or something for your volunteer efforts?

This! If you guys ever have a great design or invention get a patent filed. Might not amount to anything, but you never know.

Edit: Look into a Provisional application if you do, can be pretty basic (granted has all the info and main ideas in it) and gives you a year to decide to go further. Basically a placeholder to see if it is worth pursuing further and cheap to file.

I think it’s not just controlled burns but logging too. Personally, just as they want to make power companies liable, they should also hold those who’ve fought logging liable too.

So true...people just don't care and they are careless. While we were offroading in slick rock, one of the guys threw out his cigarette butt. I couldn't take that shiet and asked him WTF was he doing and if he realizes he could set this whole place on fire...he was like, "I was going to get out and rub it to the ground"

Hate seeing pictures like this. I feel terrible for the folks who get caught in the middle of these and lose everything.

That’s crazy!!! But so awesome you let them under your roof, even if it means stepping over a sleeping bag with 3 people in it to make some morning coffee. Lol

Though it's of little comfort to those affected, the inversion layer that's preventing aircraft from flying is also keeping the fire on the ground-or helping. Weather is expected to remain consistent throughout the week. Let's hope that allows crews to get a handle on the fires.

Yeah when he mentioned aftermarket UCAs, as soon as I said SPC he said NO. Something about a history of ball joint separation. Haven't ever seen that mentioned here at all. Going to pay Custom Alignment in Mountain View a visit and see what they can do as well as shop for UCAs. Thanks for the confirmation on the alignment report.
