On my 2nd set of KO2s now (just bigger this time). First set made it all over the Western US, Western Canada and Baja with only one slow leak from a nail. Rides smooth and quiet on pavement, can be aired down into the low teens (without a bead lock) and back up numerous times with no slipped beads or other issues.

Replaced my antenna today but there was more to it. Apparantly there's supposed to but a chrome antenna nut there, I had no idea mine was gone. Looked like it rotted away cause half if it was still there.

    20180731_153757.jpg

Had to get to what was left of the nut to unscrew it cause I was replacing the plastic bezel/mount that was cracking, well so I thought. Cut the plastic to access what was left of the nut but no surpise it was was rusted on. I put a small slit in it with a cut off wheel, one twist with a flat head & the nut broke into pieces.

    20180731_154634.jpg

Sprayed some more Kroil on it & and started picking out remnants of the nut in the thread, cleaned up as much as I could with a wire wheel. I couldn't get all of it out so I made four slits on the new nut to act as a thread chaser. This cleaned up the rest of the threads.

    20180731_162406.jpg 20180731_162421.jpg

New mount & nut went on fine, put anti-seeze on it so hopefully I won't have this problem again. So glad I didn't have to replace the whole antenna assy.

    20180731_163255.jpg

Finally the new antenna. Looks a lot longer in the pic but it's still a shorty. New one is 15" & my old thick one is 12". I like this new one so much better!

The first time I ever drove on my license was into San Francisco on I-80. I hydroplaned the truck coming into the interchange.

    Such a surreal feeling.

I went swerving on my 1st tacoma during a windy rainy day. So bad that I decided to beef up the suspension.

Well since I need new tires I might as well pick up a spare wheel and tire so I'll finally have a spare.

Did you have to contact SPC directly to get these? I need new ones after I did my 4wd swap. I reused the old ones, but one fit a little loose. I’ve been unable to find anyone that sells just the insert

Does anyone have a rear o2 simulator? I got 1 off CL with LT headers that were both unused but the o2 simulator doesn't have a pigtail to "plug n play"

This is what I got 0731180740.jpg

Was installing my new Alcan leafs and the bolt on the shackle stripped. Gotta figure out where to get a new one tomorrow or if @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc can so over night shipping. Need the truck for the weekend. I’ll get the other leaf installed tomorrow, ran out of light trying to get the other one to work. Maybe I could pick up a tap and dye kit.

The part number is #25008 its a SPC Performance part number. It comes as a kit with 2 inserts, snap rings, nuts and cover pins. You can purchase them through SPC but they were higher ($79.00 without shipping) then Toytec Lifts on the cost $68.25 that included shipping.
If your the original purchaser of the UCA's call SPC and see if they will warranty them.

Went ahead and ordered the Falkens. My dad and friend both have them and love them. They seem to be a well constructed tire, I'll send them back if they are junk but I doubt they will be.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
SPC will sell you the insert seperately. I bought one from them to put on the set of spindles I'm prepping for my 4x4 swap.
