Doctor and wife story for you. My wife made me an appointment tomorrow for some things she doesn’t like on my skin. I ask her what are the things? She gives me that look and points them out to me. I say okay and go about my way. She comes back to me 10 minutes later and asks me which spots I’m gonna show the doctor. I have no idea and she knows it. Now she’s threatening to circle them with a sharpie in the morning. Two are on my forehead.

Speaking of doctors, has anyone here been through an aortic valve replacement?

If you have, what was your experience?

Been meaning to ask, how's your little darlin'?

    :hattip: Evenin' Sunshine

Looking good for the intended purpose.

That Hammertone is a magical elixir of sorts. We're due for a sand down and re-application on the flatbed trailer this Winter. Gonna be nice having that machine shed at Randy's.

Indeed he would ... pleased as punch.

I have a surgical consultation next Thursday, that's when I'll know what they're doing for sure. My cardiologist is saying replacement.

I've had a bad valve since my late 20's, and I've managed to stave off replacement til now, but I guess it's gotten pretty bad lately. I'm not terribly worried about it, the post-op end of it's going to be a drag, I'm just curious as to others' experiences with the whole procedure.

The timing's certainly less than ideal, but we have family coming out to help with everything so we're both in pretty good hands!

EDIT: This is really easy for me to talk about, so if anyone else is looking at something similar I'd be happy to talk about my experience with it as it goes along.

In that context, you gotta do it, IMGOBO. Post-OP recovery isn't a problem...Andy needs a break from OP duties. We'll make you honorary thread OP ... wrangling this bin of loonies will have you back up and at 'em in no time. Job comes with all the ketchup you can handle (only limited by USPS regulatory restrictions) . Plus you can make important polls to capture earth shattering data in our relentless battle for world peace. :blahblah:

When all was said and done, got in a 13.5 hour day. Gotta take the truck to the tire shop and get the other tire changed and both balanced in the morning. After I left the office I met the wife at the grocery store and helped her finish shopping so now I'm kinda draggin a bit. Had a nice cold deli sammich for dinner. Now time for a shower and relax...maybe even hit the rack.

Speakin' of ... time I got a shower and go see how many of them tax dollars I can recoup tonight. Sleep well those that can, those on shift be safe. Everyone be kind to one another, and don't forget to laugh often...it really is our best defense. G'nite

I'm definitely going to ask about that, my cardiologist mentioned it and I'd be pretty happy if I could get it done that way!

I have experience this many times. Dr thinks it doesn’t look right, he marks it, they take a picture and then do a biopsie. I had this done few weeks ago. One on chest was negative. Two on top of my head are positive for basil cell skin cancer. Getting those cut out next monday.

Listen to your wife. My wife did the same thing to me. Kept putting off her concerns and when they finally did a biopsie , came back melanoma. Twice !
