Spoonman’s Little Tacoma

Got lots done tonight. Rerouted air intake, finished off the bob job, put the signals into the markers, got new headlights and markers, painted the grille black, seam sealed the drivers tub job, and a couple other little things I forget. I need to get my hands on an older Toyota washer fluid bottle.

 

Here is what I used to replace the washer bottle. About half way down the thread.

Well I tubbed out the passenger side tonight. Here’s a couple pics

Weld and seam seal, now I will spray sealant over that.


Even though my buddy Tanner wasn’t here for this passenger side, I want to thank him anyway because this wouldn’t have gotten done without him. He dropped the know how on how to get this done.

Have lots to do to get it back together, with the front end stuff. Sliders, bumpers and skid plates are up next I think.

 

They came out super clean. My shit looks like garbage.

 

Thanks man, it was all in my buddies instructions. I m relatively happy with how it came out. Going to spray it with some bed liner in a few mins. I really don’t want it to leak so I put the seam sealer on ridiculously thick.

I guess I could just run the tube doors I made. Although I don’t know if they’ll fit this truck. I made them for the 4runner

The hinges? They bolt to stock hinges.

I need to bend steel plate all the time and it’s difficult without a brake. I started making my own little press brake this evening. Heres a little progress on that.



Shite welds but here’s the bottom die.


Not sure if my little press will do it. Guess I’ll find out soon.

 

Good evening. Little more work done on the truck. Added some tube to the rear.

 

Just picked up some material for some work this weekend. If I feel like it.

I love getting these scrap pieces cheap. Never know what I might need.

Completed the rear bumper apart from the caps near the hitch. Gotta get some from TMR.

 

Found some materials laying around so I got started on the front bumper.











Didn’t get very far, but this is very time consuming to do it nicely. And I’m trying to do it really nice. Not done yet just stopped to eat. I’ll post today’s end progress in a bit.
