Finally a fix from Toyota for Stumble condition (TSB 0062-18)

Will keep checking post to see how the new update T-SB-0062-18 goes, Until my 25K!

 

2016 is the start of 3rd gens. So yes, yours is a 3rd gen as well.

You’ll want to get the TSBs done soon (most likely) after the “learning” stuff is done. The update is nice, but the stumbles and surges are awful and still present.

 

...until now: T-SB-0058-18 Rev1 (Vehicle Surge Between 40 and 50 mph) now includes 2018.

"REVISION NOTICE, July 31, 2018 Rev1:
- Applicability has been updated to include 2018 model year Tacoma vehicles.
- The Parts Information and Calibration Information sections have been updated.
Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded."

I've had my 2016 TRD Off Road (automatic) for about a month now. I've read and seen a ton of information on these TSB's. Which ones do you all recommend i ask the dealership to do? Do you do 1 at a time or can you do multiple? Between T-SB-0058-18 Rev1 and the older ECM Calibration (T-SB-0077-16) i figure i need at least 2 done? Or does the latest include all previoud TSB's???? Thanks!!

Back in July 26 I had the canadian
tsb tci 4419. ECU code EE1604
then April 2017 i had that tsb updated
331604.4 fp/89661-04k51
Those were the codes on my service repair sheets.
The update you just posted states its the new update from the previous code 89661-04k51
That is now 89661-04k54
I go in tmrw. Theres no argueing this now.

The rest, just complain about surges between 40-50 and when you floor it at a stop it stutters and stumbles. Something to that effect.

I have both TSBs on my phone and can’t upload them. But I downloaded both from postings on here and it explains everything.

 

Can somebody just get the TSB 0062-18 and post it somewhere that people can get it and download it themselves?

That was my bad for misunderstanding. Haha. I’m off on my third trip to Home Depot this morning a simple install but it’s anything but. Stupid wrong size two hole straps. Ugh. Third times a charm?

Yes, but that is on them to avoid the dealer "can not duplicate", "only for high altitude", " your VIN is not part of the update" BS. In every state/region I am sure there is a taco member with the right cable(s) and setup to install the TSB update. A case of beer and no dealer BS is worth it.

Third time??? Maybe but make sure you have enough $$$ for what you need or will be a fourth time. Don't ask.

 

Again, new to this game. Are there any TSB's that I must get? I've noticed that the shifting pattern seems off a bit, haven't noticed the Lag or the 40-50 mph issue. Only had for 1 month, in Pennsylvania. Thoughts?
