^ Nice. Ft. Thomas here. You're more than welcome to come down this weekend if you want.
My plans have changed yet again sorry everyone. If I can get some people together for Saturday I'll go down. I work till 12 so we could meet at Walmart at 12:45 and then head down. Let let me know who is all interested, hopefully it will be dry enough for me to try the new trail!

I have to work till 12, then we are meeting at the Alexandria Walmart at 12:45. If you go to google maps and type in Gene Snyder Airport, Falmouth KY you will see a small pond. That pond is on my property. To get to my driveway you will need to get on Lightfoot Fork Rd (1657). SO if you moce the map from the airport and go a little north you will see Lightfoot Fork RD (1657). If you do decide to come down just give me a call when you get close. Its a little hard to describe where we are at because we dont have an address. Here is my phone number 859-240-9055

Jacob are you coming down? If so just give me a call if you need directions. My buddy is coming down and is fishing if you want to bring your poles. If you come after we are already there just make sure to shut the gate when you come up the driveway. 859-240-9055

    :(

gonna have to cancel any plans for hosting a meet around the end of this month. i am now thinking that august may be the best time as i know some have plans during july. i have not been able to get anything done lately due to all this freakin rain! the river is a mess too...it's 10-12 feet higher than it should be right now (it's now an incline to walk onto my dock LOL) and there's tons of debris floating in it. i have not been up in the woods since i had the dozer and am worried that a lot of what i got done has been at least partialy washed out...maybe not, but we've had 4" of rain recently. late July/August should be much drier, which is a good thing as a lot of the trails i have become impassable when they are muddy due to the hills/slippery conditions.

i still would like to host a mini meet/wheeling/camping event over a weekend sometime this summer, it's just not a good time right now with little prospect of improving over the next two weeks. this can be just a day event, or you are welcome to camp if you like. i will most likely have at least one fire going, maybe two if my sandbar ever appears out of the water again  there is a usable stove and refridgerator available and i will most likely bring a gas grill. there is an old lavarock grill there, but it's deteriorating. it's also wood fired, so cooking on it can be challenging sometimes. i like propane :) there is a choice of two camping areas...one being the river lot, right on the river, or there is a couple acre yard we have just across the road where most of my trailheads are. i just heard that all the locks south of us are working, so if Neil brings the FourWins, we could potentially go all the way down to the Ohio if we wanted to.

i guess the best way for me to figure a schedule is to ask those who are interested what dates they are already busy and go from there. i figure it'll be at least 3 weeks till the river starts getting back to normal and be safely boatable...and i'll prolly need at least that long to finish up things in the woods (if it's ever dries up), so basicaly anytime after the July fourth will work for me as far as i know.

everyone let me know when you're available or not and i'll try to pick out 2 or three weekends we can choose from after July 4th.

MAX, sorry I didn't make it down last weekend...i got a last minute invitation to go fishing that i couldn't pass up. i do still want to come down and check out your farm sometime.

Does anybody wheel at Natural Bridge anymore? I know when I had my Jeep there were some great trails around that area. Also alot of Private camp grounds that didnt care how loud you got.

It would have been a long drive for you to come down, probably 3+ hours, so I understand. The days that I will be available would be the weekend of
    July 10+12, 17+18.
    July 31/Aug 1st.
    August 14+15, 21+22, 28+29.

Hopefully we can get something together one of those dates!

Never been to Natural Bridge, I've heard its great tho!
