According to TeraFlex the rear springs shouldn’t exceed more than 1” over stock height. I don’t know of any springs that only give an inch. They used a 1” block in their demo taco and set the front to the highest setting to get the look they have on that truck.

Deaver makes a 1.5" pack, so very close.

These shocks are meant for stock replacement, i wouldn't use them with anything aftermarket except maybe the Deavers, or an Icon 3 leaf AAL.

I would rather do leafs than a block but these were supposedly designed around the stock springs. Just as you said, replacements for stock. If there was a definitive 1” leaf pack I would consider it. But knowing that TeraFlex didn’t want to make an extended travel shock makes me think it might not be a wise decision as far as ride quality.

it'll be fine as far as ride quality goes, but they were likely designed for equal, or close to equal, compression and droop travel. Just like the front, the more height you add, the less droop travel you have. If you go much more than 1", you start to compromise some of the design specs.

It'll ride fine, and you'll have nice ride on compression, but it may be limited when the axle drops down.

Edit: My rears have the resi facing towards the front.

Broccoli I did not fix the rear shock. I ran a headstrong spacer for the lean and got 39 inches from ground to fender.

Actually I checked and mine are facing the other way also. Looked at the instructions and they are supposed to go that way.

I have to say after reading the comments, I’m rather unimpressed with these. Why do the rears have a piggyback? The bulk of your suspension work is in the front not the rear, you can get away with cheap shocks in the rear...

They offer little to no lift, no extended travel..lots of better options for the price with more flexibility on after market components.

For the rear resis: Do you think it’s because there is more travel in the rear and they aren’t designed to be paired with bigger springs?

I think the ride quality is much better so far and I personally wasn’t looking for a full component swap.

Agreed there are other options for the price, but those options also seem to require a more robust setup. I wouldn’t say those options are better for me.

It all depends on the users needs, I plan on going this route as well since I dont want to lift per say but I want to have a better suspension that can handle the tough trails I want to venture on. These are the ticket for those that like the current height and dont want to bother with what a lift incurs (control arms, needle bearing replacement, etc) but want to still offroad or want a better ride. This setup will also allow you to add a front bumper, winch, etc without losing height which is nice.

I had no idea this was a Utah company. That would be awesome if they installed at their building.

All the piggyback does is allow for more oil for increased cooling but the rear doesn’t cycle enough to really need it. If you need extra oil in the rear you more than need it in the front.

I guess these are designed to compete against OME and bilsteins and such.

Alot of people say it won't give you a lift.. I have it set on heavy accessories with out any added weight in the front and achieved a 2.25 lift. I am currently waiting on 1inch blocks to arrive to bring the rear up level with the front. So yes it will lift your truck...

Anticipating the rear block install photo. I’m going to move the front to heavy setting and a rear block once I get around to new tires this fall. Unless by that time I find a leaf pack that won’t over extend the rear shocks.

How about an AAL? Or would that still add to much hight?

Not sure. If it’s less than an 1” it should work. I’ll call around this weekend and see what I can dig up on the rear leafs. TeraFlex said stay at 1” or less.
