RAM Mount items got delivered today. Gonna have digital maps after tonight! Yes, I am keeping the paper maps in the truck.

Last of the lift kit hardware should arrive tomorrow and Monday as well!

AND...a grand expedition has gotten itself in my head. The planning for next summer starts now!

Depends on how good ur tires r, if they r still in good shape, I would go with lifted spindle kit for the front ( about 500 ) with the rest I would get leafs for the rear so u don't have to use blocks, that should leave some for longer shocks for the rear

Yeah, its a beast. All of the metrics are just staggering once you realize Alaska is just amazingly huge...

~7200 miles, $2000+ in gas figuring 16mpg, $4.50/gal, ~14 days of driving, the list goes on.

Convincing my boss to let me disappear for 3 weeks is gonna be fun though...

Looks good! Hope you don't plan on doing too much hard riding on those Eibachs. Broke both coils on mine and replaced them with OME

I won’t Be jumping any ramps or anything too extreme, but I do hope to use it on some trails. Fingers crossed they work out.

Just know that whoever installs the dakars is going to have to mod your shackles, hopefully they will know how to do it.

I actually just got a set of Cooper at3 4s's. Took them for a spin on some "moderate" trails according to Alltrails. They did well, and aired down the ride wasnt bad. Which leads me to the dilemma of lift or rims next...

Is this with all Dakars ? Because I plan on getting leaf springs that will allow me to not use blocks when I lift, my budget is hard to come by and need to know all that's involved because it's also my daily and can't have it sittin waiting on parts or some special mod, thx for your time and efforts

Just did the MAF and throttle body cleaning since it was a rain filled afternoon. I definitely noticed a little something extra when I took it for a spin afterwards :burnrubber:

Got my seat spacers cut out today! UPS brought my fan and switch for my attempt to cool my A/C when at idle. Rain in the forecast for the rest of the week so fabrication will have to wait.

OME does not make dakars for 2wd models. The fabbing shouldn’t be too bad, it only costed me $40 or so bucks more. The guy had to drill out of of the stationary bolts and put in a bigger bolt through the Dakar bushing. Hard to explain in text and hard to see on the truck unless you knew.
