Hmm I guess the zip ties will block a lot of light.

I don't fit in my garage with the tent on or off, so I only take it off in the winter. Plus its heavy and a hassle to take on and off.

Most importantly, its bigger than my #overland #trailrated #liveoutdoors #explore #ispendmoneytogetoutandcamp stickers, so people ALWAYS know I'm a serious overlander.

Honestly it's just laziness and ease for me.

The grill will likely block a lot of light. The zip ties are probably just not a good idea to secure it there. Vibration, heat, and the elements will weaken them over time. Great temporary way though to see if works or not.

Inflatable kayaks and paddle boards have vastly improved in the past few years. I'm 220-230#'s and it handles my weight. An inflatable, with displacement type nose similar to a kayak, that's the same length and width of a fiberglass board is only slightly slower. But it's much more durable. I highly recommend Xterra's 12'6" or 13' Hapuna boards (wait for them to go on sale for almost half off). Sea Eagle also has excellent boards. You definitely want one that has a nose that more like a kayak than a surfboard. The foam boards I've seen are limited in the size of paddler they can handle are pretty slow.

Took off the valance/air dam. I needed that extra horsepower. :burnrubber:

I debated this for awhile just because of the reduced MPGs, but I decided I wanted a better looking front end.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
That's exactly what I meant. Any bouncing could also bend the grill. As for light output the grill might block 1/2 the light. It is a good way to test.

Ditched the stock air filter added a K&N(no pic)
Bought OEM side steps off a guy local for $100... I like to call them door savers.

Did you just use a rattle can? Or did you LineX them? The coating looks pretty damn professional!

Of course it is temporary. It will be going in the CBI t3 this weekend. I just wired it up and that was just an easy place to store it until then. Plus it was an opportunity to troll the intrawebs haha

Thanks. Rattle can... It’s a pretty simple process.

Wire brush and scotch brite pad to remove surface rust.
File to remove some very minor slag from the welds.
M600 degreaser applied with a spray bottle (key component) followed by a self-etching primer and a few cans of Dupliclor Bed Armor.
A few more coats tomorrow and then weld on.

Just pull the trigger, it doesn’t look out of place and the sound is much better with the alpine compared to stock.
