So I’m good if I stick with the factory control arms? Or did you switch those because you were rubbing with the factory, and then then didn’t help so you switched sizes? I’m also considering going with a 255/85/16, but I’d rather not go that narrow.

I didn’t rub at all with factory control arms. My truck was just barely out of spec on the alignment though which is I bought jba control arms, that’s when it rubbed bad. But now with the 265/75/16 it’s perfect.

Thanks. Do you think the living kit will help me out any, or is the issue more in the width? I feel like I know I should go 265, but I want to cram that extra little bit in there (knowing in the back of my mind that I’ll regret it)

I have ome 887 springs with 5100 shocks so I have close to a 3 inch lift and it still rubbed. I was fortunate enough to have the time and money to spend to try both. I’m glad I did because if I went 265 75 off the bat I know I’d always question what if haha. I love my set up now though. Here is how it sits now.

I love how your truck sits... I only have a 3 inch lift and it still seems to be lower in the front did the body lift make yours even out?

Well thank you for doing that, because that's a pretty sweet setup and now I don't have to question it (because I would have too).

Interesting side note, I just Googled JBA Control Arms and realized that I pass this place every time I go to my office (which thankfully is rare). Small world...but thanks for the heads up on that too, I'll have to stop in there one day!

Haha no problem. I’m glad my frustration can help people lol. And yeah jba control arms are awesome. They are fixed caster which is what I wanted, didn’t want someone messing up adjustable uca when I get an alignment.

How about 285/60/r18? Factory suspension with 18x9 +18 offset.

Nice! I’m getting my OME 887’s installed tomorrow with 5100 set at 0 all around, Deaver AAL, and LR UCA’s + KO2’s and 17in Ray 10’s. Can’t wait to get it back and then play with a heat gun if needed lol. What kind of gun heat gun are you guys using? Or are most just cutting with a box cutter?

Nice. That’s going to be a sweet set up. I didn’t trim or bend anything. Once I realized the 285s were going to be a pain in the ass I went back down to 265/75s and there is no rubbing at all.

I am not quite understanding how folks with 285's are having issues. I have them with the stock UCA's sitting on nitro 3/1 level/lift. Could it be the truck is not sitting high enough?

Anyone have a link or picture ofsome alignment specs that would be best for factory UCA'S? I have the CMC complete, should be installing the Bilstein 6112s set at 6/5 later this month. Ordering some Falkens 285/70R17 shortly after to go on my Ray 10s.

If you are going to off road the 285's are going to rub. Cmc will be needed or upper control arms with adjustable caster.
