Hubby and I bought our first (long awaited!!!) Tacoma last month and are loving it! So far we have added the TRD pro wheels, some cosmetic black badges, neoprene seat covers ordered on this forum’s recommendation from Costco (thank you!!), and a Rebel Snug Top with a Yakima rack and pet screens. I think our GSP will always ride in the cab though!

We’ve got a set of rhino rack fishing pole holders on order, and then we are going to take a pause to pay everything off!

I’d really like to swap out the front grill though, I’ll look around here and see what I can find! We want to add a basket, light bar, are going to plasti-dip the Tacoma badges (the ones from Amazon came in and they were too small!!) and the chrome on the back, and once we need tires we’ll do the lift too (any suggestions?)... we’ll probably want to do the front bumper before that though.

We took her out for her first camping trip a couple weeks ago and stock she handled like a champ!

 

Today I vinyl-ed, @PikestacoSister, the sport wheels and also painted the center cap Toyo emblems red.
I will ultimately purchase the TRD Pro wheels and a set of aggressive off road tires.

 

How many switches can you put in there?

But you have a DCLB, the back wheels are on the bed. I’ve hauled dirt bikes for the last 10 years in my Tacoma’s and never a single issue with the tailgate.

 

Those were my only two concerns as well. Time will tell. I should have asked the group here how to properly pass through the grommet. It would be “easy” enough to pull back through and do properly, I just got anxious and excited to finish the day. I spent 12 hours or so running cables and mounting everything and needed that instant satisfaction. You have me doubting the longevity of the wires and I may yank it apart on my next project to rewire.

Hope to do more with my 3rd Gen today than I was able to yesterday.

Every time I'd ease out into the garage to get started on projects....it'd start pouring down.

Finally eased off and I went out to light the grill......didn't even get it rolled out before a frog strangler set in.

Just loaded 4 brand new tennis table this weekend onto my truck and strapped them down tight. Drove the 800 lbs load on the freeway. Finally on transition from one freeway to another, a D-ring (found on Amazon) on the bed rail snapped off and nearly ended up tipping the load. Fortunately it didn’t and I was able to get off the freeway to restrap the load. The next day, I used a 4” wide heavy duty strap and strapped the load against my Rola rack railing. This held it up even better and got the tables to its final destination.
