Battle and Lycan.

Lycan, the one with tan legs, is a 6 month old corso. Weighed in at 83 pounds 3weeks ago. Going to be a huge boy.

 

I apologize in advance for not having to share any cool pictures or videos but something cool happened yesterday evening.

I was walking my dogs when I noticed a gold sedan slowing towards me. A lady stopped and exited her vehicle after cautiously while simultaneously asking me if my dogs bite. I assured her they didn't. She informed me that her dog had gone missing and asked if it was alright to hand me a senior citizen Facebook post. I said okay and took a piece of paper with information about a missing dog. She then drove off and my companions and I continued with our walk.

When I got home, I read the flyer and my heart broke a little. This lady had lost her senior citizen dog which had been missing for over 16 hours. The odds that this poor fellow was okay were pretty low. He's a miniature breed which would make a satisfying meal for anything from coyotes to raptors.

I was slow moving this afternoon and sat outside just contemplating life. I could hear my beloved Ricki Baker (that's my dog) pacing and barking excitedly. I knew that she had spotted a friend. I started walking in the direction which she was looking and that's when I noticed a small dog moving kind of slow and with a limp. I walked toward the dog at a brisk pace and caught him.

I picked him up and fumbled for my phone and the flyer. I dialed the number and informed them that I found the dog. I drove that puppy home and reunited him with his family.

 

That is awesome.
