We just signed on for another year so I may have to consider that option. That was when I did most of my rinseless washes so no one in the office would be around to complain. Adding the tires I could probably be just high enough to make it work without ramps.

Also "a full-size then" what do you consider your Land Yacht?

Damn thread moves fast some days.

Flew down to NC for a few days last week since my grandmother had to go into Hospice a few weeks ago and I wanted to visit her. She passed the other day so now we're making arrangements to road trip it down there. Wife wants to take the T4R, but I'll be driving the whole way so FJ it is...
Plus with the giant roof box (which doesn't fit on the T4R since the rear hatch opens up and hits it after about 30% open) there's more cargo space with the FJ, just less room in the passenger compartment.

Thinking about moving one of the car seats to the middle so the wife can recline all the way and sleep since I'll probably leave ~8PM Friday and drive through the night.

Might hit Skyline drive in Shenandoah Nat Park on the way down just cause it's a really nice drive even though it's out of the way.

That sucks. Hopefully it was a painless end.

Shen valley is definitely gorgeous. If it wasn't so hot during the summer I'd have been tempted to move after our visit last spring.

Thanks, she was in home Hospice for the past year. I'm just glad I got to visit her before she got too drugged up to be awake.

And the Shen Valley is great. Back in the day heading down there we'd always go tappenzee over to I81 and then detour through Shen Valley/ Blueridge Pkwy before heading East back towards Myrtle Beach. Hopefully at least my daughter likes it. Wife has never seen that area of the country, though show hates riding in the car but she'll have to deal cause I'm driving....

Yeah the state has just made it such a fucking hassle to understand whats legal that companies just have no reason to ship anything here. I was looking for a BCM upper for my current lower build and just stopped looking hoping "things would calm down" but thats just dumb of me and I need to get back on this build. Time to ship to relative out of the state ;)

So the wife's car "died". Not the first time it's done this either.

She ran an errand, got back in the car, and wouldn't start. Nothing worked. Not even locking the car with the remote. NADA. Last time it did this we took it to auto zone so they could test the battery, and said it was fine.

The last time this happened, after waiting a while, it started back up. Today she couldn't wait because she had to go to a doctor's appointment. So I had to high tail it out of work, go get her, and run to her parents house to get their car since they're in Portugal until the end of the month. Then I came home, so working from home now. Luckily my co-worker and boss are cool about shit like this, so I just came home instead of going back to work.

Gonna go back to the scene of the "crime" after I'm done working, see if it starts and get it out of there one way or another. Probably going to take it to Firestone by where we live, so they can check it and see if they can figure it out.

We have already been debating getting rid of it since before it even did this shit the first time, and have been looking at a few different vehicles. A few weekends ago we almost bought a real nice 2015 Toyota Sienna Limited fully loaded with only 14k miles on it, but the wife took too long to go back to the dealership to test drive it, after seeing it in the morning, and by the time she got there someone else had already looked, driven it, and was negotiating. We want something with a third row that doesn't lose trunk space, and have been looking at the newer Ford Explorers recently. They seem roomy, and good trunk space.

Guess we have to kick the car search into high gear... or at least get it figured out by the end of the month, when her parents come back.

    FAK ME!

My wife's step mom has a Pilot with 3rd row and trunk space. She loves it, my FIL and Step mom-in-law have 3 younger kids (high school age), and it can carry around the kids and their sports equipment and crap pretty good.

We looked at those, since one of my buddies just got one, but she didn't really like the look of it for some reason. Letting her chose what she wants since it'll be hers.

Go CR-V. The new ones are pretty roomy.
And the GF and I were pleasantly surprised by the Rav-4 that we had for our trip to Utah/Nevada this spring.

But does it have a third row?! We want something like that, in case we need to go somewhere and her parents tag along, so we can all fit in one car.

    Embrace the man van!

Also, random off-topic question you don't need to answer, What part of Portugal are you from? My both of my gf's parents are from Portuguese islands (I think one of them might be from Madeira)
