So... Who can educate me on U Bolt Flip kits? Are any better than the others? What has to be done to install? Etc..........

 

Super easy to install. 4 bolts to remove stock u bolts and 4 bolts to install new ones. Hell, you don’t even need to jack the truck up or take off the tires if you didn’t want to (though I would).

The one thing to consider is bump stops. Stock bumps will no longer work, unless you just weld them to the plate. I recommend wheelers off-road flip kits and bumps as the best bang for your buck.

 

Do you know if 2nd and 3rd gen are the same? Are they leaf specific? I have Dakars...

 

Yes the same and no, not leaf specific. Generally the u bolts are too long and you just trim off the excess.
