Arb all the way, detroits are a good option for the money concious for a front diff, seeming as how you dont have one, id go full locker. Detroits still are designed to slip.

I think you can find competitive procing through ecsg

So all that is on the drivers side is just that little 5mm trim packer. That is what I was thinking - disassemble and rotate (why I was thinking perhaps Wheelers botched the assembly).

The pig tail of the coil is currently facing toward the rear of the vehicle (both passenger and driver sides) and it seems everything I've come across says this is correct. Would it hurt if it were facing towards the front? I was thinking about pulling the coilover and just installing it the other way. I think that would clear.

Probably best to ask ECGS what they would recommend

That could be the other issue - the driver side bushings for either upper or lower CA are wasted. Oh I so do NOT want to check those. Something is definitely amiss since the passenger side is completely fine with no chance of contacting at all. Maybe its the trim packer... lol that extra 5mm hahaha

Screw it. Going to pull the driver side out and see how it is with the pigtail oriented toward the front. Easy way to do this without loosening the LCA? I used that method when I installed the first time.

the trutrac acts like a limited-slip if you have a lifted tire

It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Page 666!

Also Detroits lock when youre on the gas and unlock when you coast. Truetracs are always biasing the load to the one with least traction, it works very well but it's not a locker.
