Great build man! What kind of modifications to the stock wiring harness did you have to make when you relocated the Hella horns to the outside.

I want to put a couple of Baja Designs LP9’s behind my grill so trying to come up with solutions for relocating the horns.

I just added a relay is all. It works just fine. Actually I don’t even remember if I used a relay or if it was already there haha

    3 minute mod is done

    BA8D4C88-16F9-4D05-8F41-BAE3CC1950A1.jpg

I finally rewired my fogs so the both work. Only the driver side was working. The wire was so bad I had to connect the passenger to driver side. Hopefully it doesn’t burn everything out bc Ill have to wire them individually outside the oem wiring harness

I also started to make cuts in my @Pelfreybilt fuse holder for both Bussmann relay boxes. And yes I said both

Shout out to @geekhouse23 for coming over and helping me when my UCA nut decided to play hide and seek from me. Luckily I had a spare nut and bolt. So to those of you who ever make fun of people who buy spare parts without actually needing them. When the time comes where you wish you had them but you don’t. You’ll look back and remember that you should’ve gotten the spare parts.

Exactly. I don’t know why people don’t have extra simple and important parts on hand. It isn’t a big expense to have it if you need

And you can go to work tomorrow, run errands etc etc. You kept your cool, had the parts and know how to fix everything and you're not "down" to make a living.

Little things go a long way.

    +1 :hattip:

Well. With ATR fast approaching I’m on #teamlittlesleep. First I’ve been wore wheeling off the slider rust. ALMOST ready for the first coat of por-15 rust prevent.

Also I finally got the 30k maintenance done except for the trans. I think I’ll do a full flush when I get back.

Next up this weekend is the electrical. Out with ALL the old and in with the new. Should take about 6-8 hours depending on my prep skills. Tomorrow I will start taking stuff out and taping the leads so they don’t get dirty as well as finishing up he dual battery wiring. Wednesday I hope to put the first coat of rust prevent on. Thursday I will finish prepping the wiring on these babies my dual Bussmann RTMR fuse blocks. And yes these will be run off the auxiliary battery.

Saturday will be the install of all the new wires and of my new LUX led rock lights that should be uber bright.

Lastly I want to go around and check all my bolts and the like before I take my trip. That will be the weekend before along with front brakes if I get the chance

Also thanks to anyone who sent me stickers and decals for my cooler. It’s coming out awesome so far.

Still trying to get the rest of pictures from ATR 2018 but I had a blast. Truck did well. Messed up one of the F5 wheels but hope to get a replacement one through toyota wheel and tire protection. Well worth the $500 so far since Ive had 4 tires replaced. I live in Chicago so theres always construction work going on.

Alright. Lots to update. The first thing is my dual battery set up for under $400

    6851CA3C-FE5E-4B6E-B00C-33BFB396F7DE.jpg

    Parts list:

Cole hersee 48530 12v smart battery isolator solenoid 200 amp. You can find one on eBay for around 80-90 and it’s usually Pre-wired

About 50 feet of 2 gauge red wire

5 feet of black (this is all depending on where you ground your battery)

    Terminals for the battery

2 gauge eye hole terminals for the wiring to the battery and fuses (15)

2x 200 amp fuses with housing

16 gauge red and black wire for the volt reader and to ground the solenoid

    Volt meter

Then whatever battery you decide to go with. If you’re doing in cab find a sealed battery.

If you don’t have one a hydraulic crimper for the 2 gauge terminals

    Wiring diagram:

    01DFC042-C9FB-49EE-BF50-60333AB3F1D3.jpg

It’s a very simple set up but works just fine. The smart isolator does not need a switch since it turns on and off automatically.

Alright so the lights work. Having some issues with the lower control panel. Have to figure it out still. I was rushing a bit because of ATR

While I was prepping these kids drove by and asked to take some photos so I figured why not I do this so others can enjoy it as much as I do
