If you wanted the same effect as a Detroit without spending a bunch you could just put a no-slip in. They work well if you don't have huge tires, 32s are well under what they can handle. No-slip is like $400 and you can install yourself in like 45mins

It takes all if a few minutes to get used to driving with a Detroit. Worst part is tight parking lots where you have to gas and turn hard but it's not a huge deal... usually that is the only time I remember it's there

 

Is the no slip like the lockright? Because the have lockrights on ecgs

 

Same company, no-slip has slightly better road manners than the lock right locker

The only thing I was thinking a full locking diff would be benificial is cause you are 2wd. But Zane would probably know more than I about gears. I researched what I wanted for the front, but I already had the factory locker in the rear. My friend loves his arb in his second gen and he was/is lsd. It works just fine. Not sure if it will be the same with yours, which is why I recommend the peeps that do gears. I had a great experience with ecgs.

 

still have 1/2 hour to call vs email - get em on the line and see what they recommend!

 

and of course, there is always this (listed today)... not sure exactly how you could franken-mate it to your truck but between TW Pros and @BartMaster1234 locally, im sure you could do something with it.

Got a rear end from my 2002 toyota prerunner w electronic locking diff. Complete w axles and brake drums. Need $500 to take home. No lowballing.

I will say that I don't like my Eaton tru track in snow or ice. If anything it has made my truck more sketchy in 2WD.

 

Yeah then i gotta run adapters or carry 2 spares

 

so just convert the front as well

Or just sas and 1 tons all around and have 8lugs

Ok so ecgs told me just get the truetrac unless i wanna drop the extra money to run a arb

 

Do you want full lockup, if not the true Trac is great. If you want full lockup I'd just do the lockright or the no-slip as they're cheaper and it sounds like you'll be pretty light duty anyway

I dont think i even know im just as indecisive as @what road lol

But yeah i dont think i need full lock up, though it would be nice. Im just gunna get a truetrac

Yeah i think the truetrac fits me best. All my Offroad is just dirt roads. I think a arb or anything thays full locked would be over kill for me.
