I just got back from NY early this morning. Came home to this. A147F502-DE4E-4F87-9A24-BBFD3EBCA701.jpg

Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road took care of me. I’m looking forward to getting this all on my truck Saturday.

I took my brothers truck a week ago they didn't adjust his camber
and I took mine a few days later
1:30 drop off they said it would be maybe 3 or 4 hours
4:00 I called to see if it was done was told word for word it was being driven onto the rack "right now"
5:00 went down to see if it was done
-truck was parked in same space (maybe a coincidence)
-went in was told nope we haven't touched it yet
    - .....blah blah blah got my money back corporate called BS BS BS never going back

also was a regular customer, but after the BS I went thru and the same BS they were giving another customer (had her Tahoe for 2 days for tire repair) not going back

That’s bs. I hate hearing shit like that and I have heard horror stories elsewhere. I’m not trying to go through all that. Is it going to be difficult for any place to get the TC uppers where they need to be?

@Pella I will need to go to a shop to get tires installed/balanced/aligned too after the lift. Wanna be best friends and go at the same time?

McCoy Tire is a good shop. The guy behind the counter might have been just having a bad day when I was in there a few weeks ago. The alignment tech is good.

Any guesstimate how long it’ll take to throw on the upper control arms, install shocks all around, and Deaver leaf packs? I’m going to also need to bleed my brakes after the new brake lines.

@roguegs the latest appointment at Mccoy tire on Saturday is 1pm. They are closed on Sunday . I’ll likely take care of it Monday. I’m not sure where else to go.

Will we get the alignment close enough for me to drive on it for 2 days?

Depends on how hard it is to remove the main bolt for the UCA my guess a few hours

yes you'll be fine for 2 days

I'm probably 6 months on a not so good aliment since I changed from 5100's & LR UCAs to icons and TC UCAs
not a daily tho but still a few thousand miles

Anyone else have a shop they recommend for alignment/wheel mounting/balance? If that one shop only has an appt at 1 PM idk if I will be able to make it and then come back. A 3 PM appt would be preferred.

for mounting and balancing I usually just go to the little mexican tire shops they are cheap and quick
But i don't care if my steel wheels get scratched

I'm going to need to do everything at once lol

I'm gonna be lugging 5 wildpeaks and those FJ wheels to the mod day so that after the lift goes on then the tires/wheels go on too.

    Anyone have experience with:

Les Schwab on East Hatch in Modesto
Tire Pros on Yosemite Blvd in Modesto
209 Customs Tires and Wheels (they seem to also do lift/lowering kit installs) so this means they are alignment friendly for lifted trucks?
