@tacofort you going to still be out west here in Sept? I'm picking up my friend in Phoenix on Sept 14th then heading up to Utah afterwards to hit Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Moab, etc. between the 15th-21st or so.

Same here. Going back to work on 24th. I should be in Canyonlands area if you don't want to do any other of the parks around The 19th or so. Looking to spend 2-3 days in Canyonlands/Moab area before leaving to come back home around the 22nd through Denver.

My wife is there right now. Nothing more fun than receiving a text saying how she's sheltered in place and there's an active shooter. Luckily she just made it out so I think she's in the clear.

edit: Just received another text she's boarding buses and getting the fuck outta there. Thank god.

I hope he ordered the OEM FJ Crusier rubber floor. Because I’ve thought about ripping my carpet out and installing that stuff. Sure would make cleaning up after the kids and muddy shoes much easier!

That’s what I meant. It’s made to fit the Tacoma but it’s the same floor that comes in most FJ Cruisers. It was apparently a factory add on option for the TRD off-road models or something like that. I didn’t read the whole thread but it looked pretty cool. A lot of work but probably worth it.

I really debated getting the All Weather flooring and will probably regret not doing so but the best price I could get it for was $550 shipped to a dealer with a non return condition. Without being 100% of the part number, I didn’t want to risk that much money. Additionally I wanted a quieter cabin so I bought a higher grade carpet with a mass loaded vinyl backing to it from rockauto for around $270 shipped. Trade off is I have to do some cutting. So tonight I got the old carpet out and installed sound deadening and speakers in the rear doors. Will hopefully finish tomorrow.

So funny story that you all would enjoy, last week on my trip outside Munising, we were stopped at some scenic ovelook near pictured rocks and headed back to the truck when a National Parks Ranger pulls up lights flashing and hops out of his truck. I was walking back to mine about to hop in and drive off. I had just gotten back to the door, when I hear behind me "Sir, I'm going to have to stop you . . . for having an awesome truck. " We then proceeded to chat for 25-30 mins about Tacomas and he asked me a bunch of questions about my rig (much to the chagrin of my gf), but it was funny. Good dude.

That is a good price. I wonder how much they’ll charge for shipping.

I finished my carpet, sound deadening and speaker upgrade this morning. It was a teadious project and I made a few errant cuts with my carpet but they aren’t very noticeable.

I am amazed at the sound reduction. So much quieter inside. If you’re ever considering doing that, I recommend it. Pain in the ass - particularly deadening inside the doors but it was definitely worth it.
