@Speedytech7 this is how ecgs explained the difference to me between truetrac and locke
    right

The True Trac is a limited slip differential, it is designed to equalize power going to either wheel when it feels one side start to spin faster than the other. We usually install it in daily drivers, performance vehicles, tow vehicles, and vehicles that see light to moderate offroad use. The Lock Right is a full time locker that will lock both wheels together any time power is applied. We only install it in offroad only vehicles.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Yup, that's what they would say so they don't have to hear complaints from people that don't understand that lockers act goofy sometimes. The truetrac should be just fine for you either way though it sounds like it's only gonna see mild use anyway and would also act goofy like a locker in snow and ice.

Literally every time I've ever had a problem in snow or ice in this truck is because the abs tried to kill me, it's downright dangerous

Your abs light will be on if you have one but you can turn it off. My 2001 trd doesn't have abs
