I don't think you need a locker, true track or anything else to overland at Panera Bread, Whole Foods or the first gen favorite Sub-the-fuck-did-I-stop here-wey

    No.

    4x4’s are expensive stallions.
    I think that’s more believable.

I was looking specifically at Cali, just going off of what I’ve read though.

It seems pretty hard to find any Tacoma here under 5k that’s in decent shape and under 200k

goddamn...you know as lucky as I felt at the time when I found and bought mine, I do sometimes wish I had found a higher mileage one for a lot less $$$. Could've had this thing modded to the high heavens with the price difference and no monthly payments. But I do have to DD it so that was a big consideration for me when I was looking as far as mileage and condition go.

Under 200k is irrelevant really, they run so much longer than that on average

Yea mines like 800 away from 270k, runs decent, need to change the TPS, and the frame need some work, but I still like 150ish better then 210 or higher my

Mine is daily able, really it rides nicer than my cruiser and gets better mileage. I just don't throw miles on it or risk it getting damaged cause I like to be ready for trips whenever I can be. It's a toyota haha

True, if I had known then what I know now then it would have changed how I looked at higher mileage trucks. I wasn't a TW member yet though lol.

I'd be a lot more comfortable buying a higher mileage truck now than I was a few years ago with how much I've learned since then on how to work on shit myself.

Not that you asked but since everyone else chimed in, going to call it like I see it:

    1. keep that S-Runner (getting harder and harder to find) in the pristine condition you've put it in and not franken-mod it into a rock hopper. Seriously, how often do you see S-Runners on the street like yours? I haven't come across one.
    2. pick up a cheap TRD PreRunner or older project 4WD taco and start your modding, little by little.

As for insurance, I don't care if you are 18 years old and have 2 accidents and speeding tickets. You wont be paying 1k/mo.

Its all good pizza dude. We can still re-name this thread "Sperrunner's MOD Discussion' :anonymous:
