I do, too. But I don’t specifically tell her to call the authorities. That goes without saying.

A huge load of thanks to all of you and your mates, I'd shit my pants at the demons you face. I enjoy an adrenaline rush but prefer a more managed approach.

Just this as backup when solo. Turn tracking on, people you share a link with can see your position on a map. Able to send and receive texts. SOS button on it for use only if the shit really hits the fan.

Only picture I have of the thing. And yes. Hit the SOS button because I forgot my Bed Bath and Beyond coupons at home.

I got one of those Garmin InReach hand-helds (same thing as you have basically) a few months ago after having a couple close “oh shit” moments in the woods and now it goes with me everywhere I know I won’t have reception or that it could be spotty.

For anyone who does ANY camping or backroad driving throughout the year, whether it’s every weekend or a few times a year, I soooo recommend this. Just sending your loved ones a text saying “hey I made it to camp; here are my coordinates” when you are literally in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception is an incredible thing.

He's probably in more danger in that parking lot. I'd lol if it weren't so damn true.

Pretty sure John was kidding. Pretty sure. I've seen him on the trail a time or two. And once at the mall. He was lost.
