You're a cheap date! I don't drink much either so I'm sure my tolerance has dwindled as well.

I don't know the % of the beers he was having, but you can go out and have (3) 10-12% beers and feel pretty good. It also equals out to about 6 beers to get drunk.

Depending on who you ask, still might be a cheap date

Part of it depends on the alcohol, too. Different types of booze hit different people in different ways. I mean, I can sit and sip a few shots' worth of 80-90 proof whisky or rum straight up or on the rocks and not really feel a whole lot, but one of the 22oz bottles from Allagash can still give me a buzz.

Is it bad that I've only had a hangover once......ever:anonymous: I could drink as much as I wanted and could get up fairly normally the next day

    Morning & happy friday

That is impressive, and you are super lucky. Most people I know started really getting hangovers once they hit about 30. But some people are lucky bastards and don't ever get them.

Thanks man! And cars suck, probably some weird electrical shit happening, or not, who knows! (not me)

that blows, I assume it's early af too.

Is he any good live, or are people too drunk to care? Also whiskey you drinking?

Same. It also seems like whenever I'm trying to drive home later it all hits me fast but when I'm out relaxing it takes me twice as long to get a buzz.

I don't get hungover every time I drink, but I do when I drink a lot...of everything. But when it hits, boy does it hit hard lol

I have no idea if he's any good live, never seen him. But I have a bunch of redneck friends that love his music so they will be fun to hang out with. We chartered a bus to take like 20 of us there, it should be an absolute shit show. I drink Makers Mark.

I haven't hit that milestone yet so I can't confirm if I'm clear that far yet. I've annoyed the hell out of some friends when I drank way more than one should but, woke up fine *just slightly still drunk. Never the death feeling of not being able to do anything. I've played many ultimate tournaments after a fraternity party the night before and it would always make things a little more fun & I would still perform as needed or better sometimes.
I'm definitely not normal by any means:alien::alien::burp:

Thanks. Fortunately I was able to say my goodbyes last week when I flew down there. I got to talk to her for a few minutes before they started a pretty strong pain killer regime that pretty much knocked her out for the next week till she passed.

Still tough though as I didn't know my dad's parents (both passed when I was like 3). I was really close with my mom's farther, but he died of a maybe heart attack probably 20 years or so ago now (I was in middle school). So my grandmother on my mom's side has been pretty much my only grandparent for the majority of my life.

On a more more morbid note; this experience has solidified my desire to go out in some kind of instantaneous blaze of glory. (Skydiving with no chute etc...). In hospice they legit just drug you till you're comfortable and you go. But it could be weeks..... No thanks

Yeah... the hospice thing is definitely not the way I wanna go either. My wife's grandmother went out like that. No fun, to watch someone deteriorate like that.

Glad you got to say goodbye though.

More of a Whistlepig or Bulleit guy if I'm spending actual money for bourbon. If I'm mixing it's typically Jim Beam.

    Certainly.

Last night I went out to put the cargo box on the FJ. Wife comes out and is like what are doing? .... I responded putting the box on my truck cause we're taking it down South. Lol, just got a large eye roll and an muttered I hate riding in that thing...

Moved out daughters car seat to the middle spot in the back seat so the wife can recline. In her T4R there's a lot of space between the front and rear seats, not so much in the FJ.

Really they don't ride that much different. I think the thing she notices most is the stiff tires vs her passenger rated all terrains. Suspension wise I think my 6112/5160 combo rides nicer than her stock SR5 does. I think the big difference otherwise is the seats, they are pretty wide and I feel like not that great if you're on the slimmer side. But meh she can deal with it....

Whistlepig is good. Never had Bulleit. I only mix it with water but I find if I drink anything lower shelf like Beam I do get a hangover.

Longer wheelbase on the Runner, too. Makes a difference; not as snappy over the bumps.

Maker's Mark is good, but I stopped buying from them after they got permission to add caramel coloring to make it look more aged.
But if somebody gives me a bottle, then I don't mind

Sorry, had to catch up, been on vacation. Being a hobbyist knifemaker, and someone that carries a knife, this sorta thing freaks me out. So had to comment.

Knives are nothing more than tools. I can just as easily cave someones skull in with a wrench. Sure, belt knives and cane swords might be the exception. But I carry open assist knives for the sole purpose of situtions where I have only one hand free to cut something. And these laws will make illegal most knives that people carry.

I can only hope the US...or blue states...don't decide to go down that rabbit hole of fear, and ban/regulate everything that has the potential of being a weapon. I mean Canada is beautiful, but eesh.

Saw that too. Another reason to take my FJ as we've got brand new Cooper AT3 4s sitting in the garage for the wife's T4R but haven't had a chance to get them on yet. Her current Cooper at3 are basically done.

We're leaving after work tonight, probably around 7. Should be good times
