Llumar 80 is great but it's definitely illegal in Cali. Shops here will do it though.

they can only ticket you......destroying your personal property is a crime because they have to enter the car/truck to do it and you did not give them permission to go inside....if they are big pricks, they can impound the car but that won't look to good in court

Nah here in Canada (Alberta anyway) you can't be towed simply for tint. You're vehicle would have to be violating enough vehicle equiptment regulations to be deemed unsafe to be on the road.

Believe it's just a fix it ticket. If you can show the tint has been removed you may be fine (Harr, get it? Fine??...no one? Ok...)

My neighbor used to drive a blacked out Camaro SS back in the day. It was supposed to be used for Road Rage patrols, but I often sawing just doing regular speeding work.

I had a suntek ceramic 90 pit on my Tacoma right after I bought it. Can’t tell it’s there but cuts about 80% of the heat out. Paid 120

I have Llumar Stratos on my front sides and Llumar Air80 on my rear sides and sunroof. It's illegal to have any tint on the windshield in FL, plus I wasn't sure how "wavy" it would be or how it would act with my sunglasses so I skipped that. Everything came out awesome and looks just like glass from the inside.

    Your truck looks aMAZing!

I’m shopping for tint here in Nevada looking for someone to tint 40-50% windshield.

What brand tint did they use??

Also, what % front and rear did they put on?? I want to put 5% on the rear windows but it’s already tinted.....

Edit to add....the Dodge Charger I just traded in had
    45% windshield
    15% front
    5% rear

And I absolutely LOVED how it kept my ride cooler in the summers

Air80 on the windshield looks great. The colors are a bit wild sometimes with polarized glasses, but I like it. I wish I could have gotten stratos 70 on the windshield but the only stratos installer around wouldn't do it for legality issues.

I'm thinking of doing Air80 on the windshield but the rainbow effect is throwing me off a bit from the Stratos. Plus we have these stupid window stickers for tollbooths and gates. Not sure if they would still work correctly.

For stickers, I have a small piece of the clear window cling plastic that I stuck the inspection sticker to and just put that in place so I'll be able to change it out every year.

These are RFID tags for toll booths so it has to be radio scanned. I'm afraid the coating might block the signal.

Same here with our NTTA toll tags. I have mine stuck in the pocket on top of my driver's side sunroof and it reads it just fine. Got it in my wifes car in her owners manual inside the glove box, never an issue there either. Can you tell I'm trying to talk you into it? :D

If it were metallic film then maybe it would be an issue.

Interesting. They make this big deal about it being required to be stuck to the windshield here but as long as the radio reads it I guess it's fine. I just saw some reddit posts about people using it behind tint and it worked fine. Not sure if it makes a difference between regular or the nano stuff. Might ask my tint guy.

Morning all, I have lunar 80 on my windshield and have a toll pass attached to the film (express toll in CO) and have had no issues with the toll reader. Hope this answers your question
