There's one for sale on Facebook. Not mine and I don't know the seller.

Looking at a first rifle for hunting deer, currently bouncing between a Ruger American (used, without a scope) or a Remington 783 (new, with stock scope) in .308, either for $339. Anyone have a scope they’re looking to get rid of for a reasonable sum? I’m not looking to reach out and touch something at 500 yards or anything silly like that.

EDIT - nevermind, found a used scope for a very affordable amount, going for the Ruger tonight!

Does anyone have the highlighted part of the dash kit for a double din they want to get rid of?

I would stick to the ruger or a savage combo if you looking for an ok entry level hunting rifle. never been a fan of the 783.

Second this. Savage has great entry combos for around that price point. I'm a Savage guy though.

Actually just found the scope that comes with the 783 used (in new condition, my guess is taken off the 783 immediately after sale) at a local gun store over my lunch break, so I'm planning to go pick up the Ruger tonight, super excited!

I would not pick up that scope if you are planning on it. might as well trash it. worked 8 years at cabelas and I have mounted 100 if not 1000's of scopes. what they send with those is not worth more than 20 bucks, but if that's what you can do that's what you can do. I have just seen a lot of people use those scopes and come back to me saying they missed a chance at a buck and end up upgrading to Nikon, leupold, vortex scope. or something that is built a little better. just trying to help out based on my experience in the past.

send me a PM and I can help you more if your trying to find something cheap but good. I currently don't have one to spare but I can look around for you.

For the price, Vortex is definitely the best bang for your buck. The factory that produces their glass also does the glass for higher end products like Leupold and Aimpoint.

$free.99 if anyone wants these. Never used. I bought them a while ago thinking they were "custom fit" but they ended up being universal ones.

Also paying it forward to someone who can use it. Universal dual battery mount for a truck bed or pretty much wherever. It was free to me so its free to whomever wants to pick it up.20180804_165128.jpg
