I like my marriage. It's stupid how expensive out-of-state college is. Sad part is that schools in SC were throwing money at him left and right. He could have gone most anywhere in-state for free.

 

We tried, but UGA is the only place he has wanted to since he was very little. He did his part getting in, so we need to do our part to enable him to go. He went to a private high school with the IB program and graduated with a GPA of 5.21 (weighted).
I'm jealous of all the fun he's gonna have at UGA.
Tell me that this kid won't have a good time at UGA...

You fellas will appreciate the fact that the picture that I posted of Andy is one of his senior pictures. He LOVES his truck so much that he insisted that in be in his senior pictures. That's my boy!

 

I thought the highest was 4.0?

 

It's 4.0 when taking regular level classes. AP (Advanced Placement) gets extra and IB (International Baccalaureate) gets the most. Those programs are much harder than normal classes. That's why I said "weighted".

 

Huh... I guess a lot can change in 12 years. Or maybe by state? When I was in high school 4.0 was the coveted holy Grail.

That's awesome though. You don't see kids with that much drive anymore! Good on em!

 

We had +.25 in advanced classes and +1.0 in AP.
