yeah I hope not. I told them exactly what the TSB says, but I've had both good and bad experiences with Big Two...

I dropped mine off at 0700, my adviser was CJ and the tech was James P., with the 10k service and TSB's it took them until 3pm to get back to me on the status.

You remember the scene in Back to the Future with the flaming tire tracks and spinning license plate?

    Well, nothing close to that.

But, it does make the shift points more aggressive and locks out the OD gears.

Just picked up my truck from having the TSB performed. Initial impressions are that the tranny shifts a noticeable bit better. Only drove it about a mile back to my office. Will update after a few more miles.

That’s what I shoulda done. The first time I cleaned my lense I used a brush attachment on my shop vac and it scratched the crap out of it. That plastic they use is super soft.

Had an update this morning. It was coded as "eg1811". Is this a newer version of 1810? My truck feels much better.

Had it done this morning. I feel like it fixed the 2 issues i had.

    1) The stumble when you floored it and needed that get up and go
    2) Searching for gears at highway speed 70+

It has a much better response and doesn't have that jerk and lunge when you floor it. Also, at highway speed it is much better at maintaining gears and not dropping gears to get that surge of speed. It drove much better in cruise control maintaining 75 when going over overpasses and changes in road elevations than it did before. Before it would constantly jump around gears in cruise control. Definitely feels like it should.

    Overall it feels much smother.

I went in with the 0062-18 printed out and explaining my issue and it looks like they gave me the 0058-18. They gave me no issues and was in and out in an hour and a half. Price Leblanc Toyota in Baton Rouge if anyone else in the area needed it done.

Also, changed my blinker to 5 flashes while they were in there.

So, after driving it for a few days (and 600 miles) I'm quite happy with it.

As an aside, I'm wondering if it helps the "learning" process when the day after mine was re-flashed I dragged a trailer full of furniture 4 hours away to my daughter in college :) So, it learned with an extra few thousand pounds of weight.. Once I unhooked the trailer it REALLY sings :D
And, it did GREAT with the trailer also.

Got mine done Monday. I can tell the most difference around town driving. Much better low end torque feel. Probably won’t use the Shift Sense Pro anymore but I still like how the Sprint Booster peps up the throttle. It still acts about the same on the highway but definitely worth the time.

Following up for DFW people - I tried Lone Star in Lewisville since it is closer to me. I called yesterday and said there is a TSB I want done due to surging and hesitation. The service advisor Paul put me in for 7am. I woke my ass up real early this lovely Saturday morning just to have this same guy tell me only a high altitude dealer can do it since it says high altitude on the TSB. It's annoying enough that they won't do it, but what really pissed me off is having me come into the dealer at 7 on a Saturday to tell me that instead of over the phone. I called Toyota corporate to explain that my truck at times waits until I am turning left with oncoming traffic approaching, and decides not to accelerate once I am rolling, and that this TSB is apparently the answer and I want it done for safety reasons. They will call back Monday supposedly.

TL;DR - Lone Star will not do this TSB and frankly wasted my time.
