Those usually put you on the hook to have all the suggested maintenance done in time and at that specific dealership... and if you dont or miss an interval or something they no longer have to honor it. I'd really think it would be wise to read the fine print on that... from what I understand lifetime warranties are just another way for them to get more money out of you in the shape of regular maintenance

The whole free oil changes is a scam and waste of time. For me it was more about making sure the maintenance was done right at my convienance.

Of course it requires sticking to the manufacturers standard maintenance schedule, as any warranty does, but I don't think it has to be done at that particular dealership. Just need proof it was done by yourself or other mechanic/shop. It is a good point though and I should look into it just to double-check.

I saved $2000 this week with a long term manufacturers warrantee (on my wife's Mercedes GLK), long after the regular warrantee expired. I always buy the longest manufacturers warrantee I can get, and try to avoid paying extra for the frills. Over time, this has saved me a lot of bucks on a few major parts.

For a Toyota or Honda, no way I'm expecting to need long term warranty coverage. Too many years of great results with these brands to shell out the $$ on a warranty.

If I were buying a VW, BMW, MB, Audi, or other similar brand, you better believe I want that warranty as their quality engineering is meh and reliability is in the toilet.

I have been in twice for the so called”weeping”. I’m going in Monday for 35,000 visit and today I recheck the weep and this is what I find!! So, I start looking around before the warranty runs out at 36,000 and I find the ac blower beginning to crack like everyone else. Took a month to fix the brake light leak and de-mold the whole thing. Last visit they said my front brakes are at a 4 and recommend I change them this visit. Really, already!! Thinking I might need to invest, or get them to invest for me, in extended warranty to cover some of this crap! Besides, 1000 more miles and looks like these problems will be all mine.....$$$$$$$

Not true for the CNA Lifetime Wrap Coverage. Maintenance schedule needs to be followed but thats about it

Is this a Toyota warranty or the dealers? Asking because if it’s the dealer, how does it work if youre traveling?

I have one on my SLK through my credit union, since it has 6 different brains and it 7 years, since I don’t put many miles on it. But all of my Toyota’s I haven’t done it.

No deductible if repairs there, other dealers $100 deductible, I asked.

If you plan to keep, that sounds good like a good deal
