Ok here is another easier problem. I went from 265-70-16 to 285-70-17 roughly 3" difference , I lost about 4-5 miles per gallon. Downshift worse on interstate hills. So I have 373 gears do I go to 391 0r 411 gears to get back what I lost ? Anybody got a link to best place for the gears? Is it a 7 1/2" gear ?

Was supposed to be a simples rotors and pads brake job turned into replacing both my calipers. The boot on one of the pistons on the driver side ripped right off and nothing even touched it. This has never happened to me ever in all my years. Truck only has about 116,000km/72,000 miles.

The cab mount relocation was not too bad but cutting back the firewall was not fun.

Years ago, my tape pinstriped pickup was given an up close and personal by a visiting tourist. Picked it up from the body shop the following week and while driving it the following day, granddaughter driving g-dad's pickup with a manual transmission mistook the clutch for the brake and did a "I-can't-believe-this-is-happening-again" t-bone into the same spot. I took the rig back to the same body shop 24 hours after I had picked it up and had the same work done again. Shop now has 2 left-halves of the pin stripe tape.

At least you got a good story out of it! And a teaching point for when you have to teach someone else to drive standard...

I love what you have done here but I am very curious why you still utilize the OE front bumper cover?

37" Pitbull Rockers and I'm running 4.56. I'm sure someone will chime in and say I need 4.88 or 5.29s... The 4.88 are not worth the money in the little difference they would make. 5.29s is too small of a pinion for me. So 4.56 it is. It does great until 60 to 70mph and you really start to feel the 120 -130lb wheel and tire. It's really not bad at all. I've already towed a 12' trailer with 3k to 4k on it no problem.

I like the way it looks and it hasn't been ripped off yet. Ha ha! The same goes for the OE rear bumper. Hasn't been ripped off yet.
