Thanks Chris! She's my baby

Never had a new vehicle and never owned a truck. Always wanted one and it's just the way the cards fell.

Couldn't be happier to have it and find this place full of enthusiasts

Thanks a lot, man! That truck is a beauty! I love how it looks with the 285s. :)

Incorrect. Typically on Tacomas you can go 0-3" on stock UCA's & still get your alignment dialed in. I had 5100's & 885 coils for just a hair under 3" & aligned to OEM specs no problem. 2.5" is about the tipping point, beyond that *some* people need UCA's, most are good to 3.

Before the 285s you had 16" or 17" wheels?

They were 17x8, had wheel spacers on the back before 285s also.

You wondering about running the Maxtracs with 16s?

Yes, I am a little worried because I don't want to use any wheel spacers in the truck. My wheels are 16x8.5 -6 Offset. They stick out enough already with 265s.

Which wheels are they? I've seen people running 16s with these spindles but I'm unsure of the specs on them that worked.

Hoping somebody can chime in here

Hopefully someone does! Many spindles sellers recommend 17" wheels or wheel spacers if you have 16". :(

I think 16’s will fit with either 4.25” BS or 4.5” BS. I ran 16’s with 4.25” BS for a wile with no issues. Also ran 15’s with 2” BS but that is not recommended.

My wheels are 16x8.5 and the offset is -6. I don't have much knowledge about wheels specifications and this is all I know. Can I convert this -6 offset to inches?

According to my idiot math that should be 4” BS but the easiest thing to do is to just take the wheel of and measure from the back of the wheel mounting surface to the back of the wheel. Or if you know the make and model of the wheel you might be able to google the specs.

I used an online wheel calculator and the number that gave me was 4.51 backspace.

I don't know why but many sellers agree that 16 wont fit without spacers. This is a reply of a Maxtrac seller to the following question:
"I have a 2015 Tacoma with 16x8.5 wheels (- 6 offset) 4.50 backspace. Can I use my wheels with these spindles? The answer: 17" Minimum Wheel w/ 4.75" Max Backspacing or less" I'm very confused right now! :(
