I never was super particular about wiper blades, I usually just grab the first thing I see that is the correct size and not super expensive. I am more picky when it comes to wiper fluid. That being said, my wife put some RainX wipers on the truck last time I was in the field and I must say they are a vast improvement to what I had on there before; whatever they were.

I like Rain-X, they have a good washer fluid and a nice windshield treatment too. I can also get it anywhere.

Same size for both sides- 17". Rubber one's usually only last a 1 or 2 years and they don't sell these silicone ones in the stores because they last way longer and they won't sell as many.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Triple Edge Silicone. There(were) are lifetime guarantee. I can't find them anymore. Probably out of business, due to not selling replacements. Had put them on all my vehicles and never replaced. Worked great through all weather, snow, rain ice. I want a set for my latest Taco.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
I had those on this. Like 20 years ago.

They weren't bad. But that was my last domestic, and I found that OE Japanese rubber is good stuff. Hoses, belts, wipers, etc. Nissans, Mazda, Honda, Toyota, great service with all of them.

Yep. Actually have those on 2 vehicles now. Good bargain if you are in a hurry and need ok blades. But if the vehicle lives outside they only work well for 6-8 months, and are noisy about half that time. Even with a really clean glass.

I notice on my truck the passenger side rubber tears and shreds way before the drivers side does, the 2nd gen has 2 different sizes for drivers and passenger side, drivers is 22in long 8mm wide, passenger 21in long 6mm wide, I wonder id I replace the passenger blade with another 22in 8mm wiper blade if it would last as long as the drivers side, because they hang in there a lot longer than the thinner shorter passenger side ones do.

I think @Madjik_Man is the one who posted about running a 19" blade on the driver and 18" on passenger a long time ago and it works well

    It's true.

On a 1st gen you can put a 19" on the driver's side and 18" on the passenger side.

The Goodyear's being sold at Costco used to be great. But they changed the design and compound 2 years ago and now they are awful (at least in Colorado's varying seasons).

Agreed, Goodyear from Costco. I'm on 3yrs & they're still working fine. I'll live in SoCal so the hot summers dry out blades over time. I bought a new set earlier this year thinking I would need to replace them but nope, they're still working fine. I've never had wipers that even lasted half this long. I do wipe them down with silicone.lubricant after each summer though.

Maybe the drivers side I could go bigger, but on my 2004 a 17" blade is real close to the edge of the windshield. I don't think anything bigger would work without overhanging.

I dont care for my RainX blades. They lose contact on the driver side top about 4 inches and they bounce when they get to the bottom of the cycle. The part that doesnt lose contact cleans very well but the bad outweighs the good for me.

Same here. I went off the reservation one single time with the stupid Good Year ones. OEM Toyota inserts are the best in my experience.
