Sunroofs are like hot tubs, great in the beginning then you never use them again. We have one in the Forester (sunroof) and I can't remember the last time it was open. Maybe different for others.

Well, yeah. Because most people don't buy things that cost $40k that they feel aren't worth it. Haha

Just different strokes for different folks.

Nah, sold my ‘15 to a used car store out here last weekend. The trade in numbers I got from 3 different dealers were pretty appalling, but I feel what I got from the place I sold it to was pretty fair. Good luck with your trip!

My strategy is removing the sliders to,put on the Pro, so that will save me 900. I'm not putting much else on the new one, tires, tonneau

I did that with a BMW. I'll put it on the market until I leave. If it sells cool if not I'll trade.

Nice. Naked I thought the truck road great. I tested one 3 or 4 times in NH during the winter and they dealership is on a road that is absolutely destroyed. So I ran it fast and hard. I figured they'd either hate me or think I was a for sure sale.

It road great. Bump steering and drifting over washboards is a huge thing for me and that truck stayed very well planted for a factory truck.

The two things I like about the pro are the headlights and grille.

In Canada the pros are running at about $57,000 with tax. Or about 44000 USD. I am not sure I can spend almost 60000 on a midsize truck.

    Awesome looking truck!

Now, peel that hideous white dealer “tramp stamp” off of your tailgate! It’s fucking up the flow of sexy blackness.
    Congrats on the purchase!

That is a good looking truck. I thought about black, but figured I just don't wash it enough to keep it looking good. Nice purchase.

BTW, the Pro is worth it if that is the trim level you want. If you was to mod right off the bat and make the truck even more yours, then get the OR.

Vote YES just on the basis when time to sell/trade, the factory Pro will outpriced any OR professional aftermarket installation by a long shot. Cav blue is the cherry on top.

    Yes. This. Exactly.
    Even worse: "MOONroofs"

Please cut a big hole in the roof of my 4x4, drop in some glass, take away my just barely adequate headroom, and provide another highly effective eventual leak point. I've GOT to find a way to get more sun on this bald spot. I just won't be able to grow any melanomas, squamous or basal cell cancers without it. Hurry, start cutting please.

    That's perfect, thanks.

I am reading this thread and I guess I don’t understand. If it’s what you like get it, the cost is relative. I am coming from a completely different camp. I have never owned a truck and owned sports cars all my life. My wife and I bought a house in the country and the sports car didn’t make sense for hauling and such. I wanted a truck that looked sexy and rode like an suv. I knew nothing about Tacoma’s. I test drove them all (Ford, Chevy, Nissan and Dodge) and full size was too full size and I was never going to haul 12000lbs. I drove the Sport and OR in the Tacoma, I liked the look of the hood scoop on the Sport but liked the ride better on the OR. I had all the dealers here tell me that they didn’t have Pros and they only sell them at sticker or higher when they get them. I searched and found 4 within driving distance all different states. I dealed on the phone and drove to a dealership in Pennsylvania and traded my car and drove off in an automatic Pro for $43k (3k under sticker and no sales tax). Same price my local dealer was trying to sell me for the same equipped OR without the hood, grill, shocks, tech package (did have tonneau, bed step, sunroof, predator step bars, JBL and they were going to switch out to the blacked out rims for me). The OR would have worked for my purposes but I would have wanted that hood and grille (very sexy). So instead of going though that hassle I just found what I wanted. This is not a fanboy or hating thread. I love the look and drivability of my truck. I hate the sound system but that is a different thread.
