Does this tsb also help going higher speeds on cruise and have it flipping back and forth between gears?

 

I shot a video with my interior camera of them doing my update. If it's the only thing they do, it takes like 15-20 min.

No argument from me. I am not promoting the CAI because it really does not provide extra hp or anything but it did help the stumble and throttle response. And yes it is loud. It was a desperation move and it paid off. I hated that hit the throttle and damn near stumble to a stop feeling. That is now a very rare thing for me. Thankfully the new TSB should resolve that for all.

I went the 4:88 route on mine.
Drives great now, does great offroad also.

 

Now that the TSB acknowledges the stumble perhaps Toyota will reimburse me for the CAI

I usually do not let them wash it. I happen to be dirty

On my truck if from a dead stop you floored it, it would have little hiccup when accelerating, 100% of the time. Sometimes worse than others. In Flagstaff it was really bad. I usually do not drive that way, but reading the thread got me interested. The software update\TSB fixed it.

 

Had mines done in Pensacola FL. No questions. Just came in to replace my restarting radio and told them tranny shifts like shit. Said no problem. Hooked it up.

Local dealer sent out emails to 3rd gen owners that’s a bunch of money for service
