You're a hover'er, eh? Only time Im hovering is when I'm in the woods, otherwise I like to enjoy myself and relax. A small-windowed, rare break from all of life's problems.

I think the more important consideration is the total current at the fuse location, I wouldnt exceed the highest single fuse value in the panel with any pair of fuses. Add a fuses don't affect the tapped location unless you exceed the total current allowed for any given spot.

I always thought if you drove a nicely restored car you would just cruise. Just saw a group of 3 old guys in their old Porsche 911’s flying down 80 through the toll. If one changed lanes the others had to stay right behind him.

True, but most of those gauges aren't pulling much current, the wideband looks like 1.3 amps and I don't imagine a Vac gauge pulling much more than that either (since its running right off the vacuum line as analog, not digital meter) and I've run my rear windows perfectly fine without even a flicker of the gauges nor burnt wire smell, so you're probably fine tying in 2 gauges into any 10A fuse under the dash.

Rather be last if first means risking my nice car while changing lanes within inches of another car.

If you can’t get one at autozone or orylies. Get a grade at bolt at a hardware store and grind the edges round.

Just providing a rule of thumb. While individual circuits may have low amp draws, many(me included) utilize banks of switches and/or guages that can total several amps and power them all from a single fuse tap and that's where the total for the tap plus original fuse can exceed the single fuse rating for the panel. TBH, I have no idea what that rating is which is why I recommended using the largest value fuse already there as a guide. On mine it's 20A.
