    I don't think so? :notsure:

Took a little muscle to break it loose, but I've seen guys having to take a Dremel to create a slot for a wide flat head screwdriver to get it loose and then replace the screw.

I'm still using the stock screw and it took maybe 90 seconds to install. Hell, @boogie3478 went so far as to replace his whole fuel door.

I know. I would have done the same thing. I just don't think mine was one of those 1000 ft/lb bolts.

I just went outside to test and see if I have one of the Arnold Schwarzenegger screws in my fuel door. Thankfully I have the pee wee Herman one. Now all I need is a gasshole for 2nd gen SB. Woosah!

Mine was in the soft side, so now that it passed the test, all I need is the Messo gasshole. :)

Got mine last week, screw was easy to get out. I have an aftermarket locking gas cap, doesn't thread into the gashole, but still better than nothing!!!

I know meso is super busy but I wonder if he is making anymore SB gassholes...? Or if he is just focused on lights right now. Hmmm.

I wonder what could be the difference between the third and the 2nd gen? Maybe the one for the 3rd gen fit with none or little modification on the 2nd gen.

    Houston. We have a problem.

So, I dunno if this had been covered. But, The Gasshole seems to be designed for Tacos made after May of 2008. Those trucks have a spin on type gas cap shown on the right. The earlier trucks use the 1/4 turn type shown on the left. This style cap does not work with the Gasshole as designed. The tabs that engage the filler neck block it from penetrating the Gasshole deep enough.

I am going to try to modify my gas cap a bit by trimming up the tabs a bit. Ultimately though, I think this product design ought to be modified to work with both styles of gas caps.

Did you have to modify that locking gas cap to make it fit?

Yeah, I didn't go through and read the whole thread. Just saw that they were finally available for my truck, got excited, and just ordered one.

Meso seems pretty busy messing with LED's and such lately. I think this product could be quite profitable for him if he could improve the design a bit and produce them faster.

Sorry, been really busy with other stuff and haven't had a chance to address this or update the OP. It seems that Tacomas PRE-2008 have a retard cap. I haven't been sitting idle, in fact I already have a new design and was waiting for the tester to post up. @05Taco4x4 has the new one and confirmed fitment(post #345). I made it so there are slots on each side to accommodate the tabs in the cap.

If you have one that is the old style cap, PM me and I'll get you a free replacement for the slot style.
