3inch lift 265/75r16 or285/75r16

I got a double cab long bed with a 3 inch lift and I’m not sure which tire size to go with 265/75r16 or 285 if any one can offer some advice or pictures I would greatly appreciate it.

 

I went with 275/70R17. It's the mid size youre looking for. Ran the 285's before and the 1/2 inch isn't worth it. Unless your going for looks a 32.3 is big enought.

I'm torn on this one. 285s look better, but they require a lot more work to make them fit without rubbing. I'm probably going to go to 2.5 inches on my 5100s and a leaf pack in the rear, and stay with 265s. That should look a bit better than a full 3 inches without the rubbing issues.

 

I run 265/70/17 and they look good. I may consider 275 after I get a lift

 

I wanted to put 285/75r16 Falken atw3 on the truck but they are really heavy.

 

285s for sure especially on a LB.
275s look descent but your limited to KO2s, I'll be running 285/70R17 Falkens in P rating, guess it isn't offered in a 16"?

 

285s for sure. Like someone said above, 265s are going to look pea sized with a 3” lift.

I’ve searching around for Falken 285 16 in p rating but no luck yet

 

For reference 265/75/16's I ended up with about 2 3/4" of lift after the added weight of the SSO slimline w/winch,sliders and rear bumper.

I have a level basically, about 1” in front, and the 265/75r16 look good. I’ve considered going up to 285/75r16, but I expect in order to be able to fully stuff the wheel when off-road that it would need the body mount chopped. Even with a lift if you compress the suspension it is basically going to articulate back through the stock ride height, so if it doesn’t clear at stock ride height it won’t clear when stuffing the wheel. Keep that in mind when upsizing the tire.

 

What’s the suspension setup?

 

This works for me. I have 2.5 + inches more suspension with a 4 corner OME kit. No spacers or blocks. I’m running 265 75 16.

I like the look and ride. Tires are noticeably, bigger than stock; but my goal is not to fit the largest tire possible. This just allows for a fully functional suspension and you won’t take a big hit in mpg or speedo error.

 

Eibach Pro truck lift and a Wheelers 1.5” AAL in the rear.
Didn’t take measurements before so I’m not sure exactly how much lift I got. Rides like a dream though.
Eibach struts are similar to 5100s
