Yeah, it's turned on and off with the trucks key. I think it's a thing on all access cabs for that exact reason.

Sweet I am going to look into it that would be awesome to be able to switch them off even mine. I've been popped in the face by one once don't want it again especially in a non accident jarr.

Yeah I don't blame you. That would really suck. I wonder if you could get the key switch thing from an AC and retrofit it into yours.

That's what I'm thinking just gotta pull a wiring diagram for the SRS system from your truck and see how they have it wired. The trick would be converting that switch from a key to some other method. But toyota using that panel for that would look more like a factory install. But hooking the DS up as well would be cool. I already like not having all the curtain and side airbags. Only down side is there are always seat covers in the BST threads for sale but always for the side airbag seats.

That's partly why I'd like to just switch to an aftermarket seat. With no airbags to worry about, it's a really easy swap. Especially if I were to buy the corbeau bracket for our trucks. Plus they have blemished seats to save some money.

But they didn't have side air bags in the 05s mine doesn't just have the one in the steering wheel and the dash no other ones.

Edit: nevermind I get it our trucks would be easier to put aftermarket seats into than a later model one with the side airbags to set the light on and maybe render the other airbags not working.

Yep exactly. It'd be super easy to swap in and not mess with any of that SRS shit.

Well I'm not totally sure, but for now it seeming like the best. If i put it on the drawers I can't open the lid as far as it sitting there. Most of the food prep will happen in the back, but until I get a slide or some mechanism to move it out and down it'll hang there.
The 5th gen actually had it mounted like I have it now in CO and it worked pretty good for us.
