After parting ways with Ben @m3bassman in Boise, we headed southwest towards California - and the start of our next trip! Along the way, several cool discoveries, and memories of trips past, and I finally got to weigh the truck. Man, it's not light!

Which beach would that be? Spent a couple days up by sage hen, nice to be out of the smoke and heat.

 

Nice. Havent been there, usually hit Sage Hen or Crouch area.

 

nice went ridding to silvercity today that was fun.

 

i did not go to the cemetery this time. but we ate at the hotel and got lunch.

So what internet providers are there available in Kuna/Boise/Nampa? We have literally one provider in North Carolina and it’s a real pain to deal with.

Typical prices for different speeds? We pay $88 a month for their highest speed over here

 

I will simply say that we use Quest- the phone company- the worst company I have ever had to deal with. We are to far out for cableone and I am not sure if the wireless companies can provide the same speed

 

century link has a lock in price for life but century link, cableone and the quest but they all suck!

 

Correction on my part quest is centurylink... I am showing my age.

 

Anyone’s truck here? Tooling down I84 yesterday afternoon.

 

Has anyone been to Cinnabar Mine, up near Yellow Pine, since they closed Sugar Creek Road? I hear there is a back way into the mine site over Monumental Summit, but that the switchbacks might be pretty gnarly.

 

Good resource. I did some searching, and it sounds like fs374 (Sugar Creek Rd) was closed a few years ago due primarily to fish habitat on a required stream crossing along that route. Cinnabar is supposedly one of the best preserved mine sites in the US - would be a shame if there wasn't a good way to get down in there.

I've seen reports from some guys on bikes who went in and out over the back side, but the road looks like it might be pretty narrow for a taco. Might have to try and get up to the summit and see what it looks like from the top.

 

This may be a total miss. But I have seen several good looking Tacos in my small town lately. Are any of you Burley owners on the forums?
